Expensive but essential bit of kit if your'e recording outside.

The media could not be loaded.  The video pretty much says it all.Not the best bit of videography, but the reason I am standing next to the washing line in my back garden is because the movement of the washing line is a good indication of the wind. Clever huh? OK, maybe not.At the end of the video, I show a screen-grab of the video time-line, so you can see the relative difference between the 'with deadcat' and 'without deadcat' waveforms.Anyway, although the Olympus LS-P1 and LS-P2 have loads of digital filters, if you want the best sound quality outdoors, you need a deadcat. Unfortunately, because the LS-P1 and LS-P2 are small, practically no generic deadcat will fit them, so you need a custom made one. The Gutmann is (as of this writing) the only one, making it essential if you own either of these recorders.Note – I own both the LS-P1 and LS-P2, and have tested for both, although the video shows only the LS-P2.Note 2 - Yes, the 'without' is seriously clipping. As with all wind noise, its almost impossible to prevent this, and you can see this by the waveform that the wind is much larger than the background noise and therefore pretty much uncontrollable.
