These are not toy walkie talkies, far better
This is a set of 4 walkie talkies enough for a whole family or team if you are involved in a team pursuit. They are easy to setup and charge using USB cables so can be charged virtually anywhere you can find a USB power source. Battery life is also good on a full charge. To use you simply select the same frequency on each handset and then press a button to talk. Quality of sound is very good and range is superb with no drop off in the sound quality over longer distances. The maximum range is claimed to be a couple of miles, I don't know if that is true but they definitely work fine over several hundred yards without any issues.Size of the walkie talkies is also nice and compact and they are relatively light as well meaning you can slip them in your pocket when out and about. Great for walking holidays or being out in the country and keeping contact even where a mobile won't work.

Good value set
I'm really impressed by these walkie-talkies. They do have a long range and for a set of 4, this is a great price. They're fast to charge and the battery in each lasts for ages- perfect for workplaces, camping trips and basically anything. These would even be really fun for kids playing outside- a fun way to keep in touch with each other. They're well made and sturdy. Overall, I'm really impressed

Excellent Walkie Talkies With a Good Range
We love these walkie talkies. They're great and have a nice range on them. They're excellent for walks, hiking and just for talking to people on the other side of the house, at the bottom of the garden or in the loft as it avoids shouting. They're really easy to use and even my young kids have been able to master them (they're currently playing cops and robbers, it's like listening to an episode of The Bill!). To talk all you need to do is press one button and it's not hard to find a channel to speak over. There's a really good volume control too and you don't get any outside interference on them either. The range is good. They can go up to a maximum talking range of 2.5 Kilometres which is great. I've not tested them to that range yet but they were certainly clear for communication across a large field and woodland area. The battery is also excellent too and lasts a long time (and easy to slide on). They're easy to charge, especially if you have the charging bases. I didn't get them and if ordering again I would. USB charging is fine but the bases are more convenient. They're durable too and well made. They're also very lightweight and easy to carry. They come with a belt clip and it's fine.I highly recommend these. They're excellent and good for the price.

Good value for FOUR walkie talkies but range was poor
I like the idea of having some walkie talkies for use in an emergency - you never know when the mobile network is going to go down so I can imagine situations where these could be useful. A 4-pack is very handy for all the family to use. (They are actually supplied as two 2-packs.)Charging is easy with a USB-C connection. I did find that for some reason these were unwilling to charge when connected by a USB C-to-C cable to one of my best high power chargers, but they charged fine using the supplied USB A to C cables and a standard USB A charger. The batteries clip onto the rear of the walkie talkies and they can be charged separately. It looks like there is an option to stand them in a "charging base" rather than having to plug in a cable, but this is not supplied with the version that I received.Operation is simple. The channel knob has no display but a voice reads out the channel number when it's changed. There is a squelch button on the side, so you can turn off the squelch for potentially longer range use (although of course you then hear the loud background hiss/noise).We tested the range by having my son upstairs in the house (actually up in a loft room, so as high as possible), while I walked away from the house until reception became impossible. There were various houses in the way so definitely not an "open field" range test. Unfortunately in these conditions we only achieved about 320 metres - rather disappointing. Interestingly while doing the experiment we heard another user from the other side of town over 1.5 miles away so that was rather weird - reminded me of the good olden days of CB.So overall, not fully recommended based on my test - I'll try them in the more open great outdoors some time to see if I can get anywhere the "max" 2.5km range mentioned in the description.

Works well on an adventure
This is a decent set of walkie talkies which got a good workout on a weekend woodland wander. They're sturdy and easy to use, even for junior adventurers. The belt clip and battery were a bit fiddly to install but I'm sure it'll get easier with practice. It's supposed to have a range of just over a mile but I assume that's going to be in a wide open space, with nothing blocking the signal. In the woods, we managed over half a mile, which is pretty decent. We had them switched on for four hours and there was no drop in quality of communication. A good buy.A point off for having to download software to get it working.

Good quality
Well made, good quality walkie talkies.Easy to slide battery on. More difficult to put clip on as its on a spring so have to hold spring down while trying to screw in the tiny screws.Charged well .Turned on , set my frequency and they worked straight away.Great clear sound quality but no up and down volume.Still a great clear sound far apart.
