Bull mask in solid black leather. Approx. 35 years ago the artist Graziano Viale's fascination with the mediterranean culture and it's cult objects led to the foundation of Graziano Viale safir. Ever since, Graziano has been crafting not only traditional sardinian but also masks based on ancient phoenician and roman cults and customs going back until the 2nd millenium BC. The traditional Sartiglia mask is still used today during the Oristanese carnival. The leather for each mask is soaked in hot water and then stretched over a wooden mould before finding it's final form.
