Q: Are this one see thru?

I got a 3X so they are not tight on me although the waist still fits. I'm sure they are see through if they fit snugly. I am not concerned as I don't plan on wearing white or patterned underwear under them and I will wear a long top covering my butt. They are really like a pair of black panty hose without the feet. Great to wear under long tops or short dresses.

Q: Will a cotton skirt stick to the leggings? I have cotton tights and when i wear a cotton skirt with them the skirt sticks.

The material is quite silky feeling. I doubt that the skirt will stick.

Q: how far up on the waist do they go? I have ordered others on line that only came to just above the hips and I need some with a high waist band.

They go to the waist very comfortable, they stretch, I bought one pair a size 2x, I wear a 2x in some cloths, but the 2x was too big for me, I kept them and still wear them, and I bought an xxL, that fit much better, they stretch very comfortable, but buy a size or two smaller..

Q: Are these machine washable?

Yes. I machine wash them but hang them up to dry.
