To start with the bad: I really don't like the delay in the laser discharge. It takes a second for it to revamp in order to discharge. Good: It is not painful and the ice feature can be felt. It zapps the hairs and there is a smell that is noticed which you would expect in a hair removal device. I would recommend this device based on my experience but can not speak to hair removal capability as I have not owned it long enough
