Why Bulgarian Rose Water? We source our rose water from a supplier in Bulgaria that specializes in the ancient tradition of rose farming and extraction with steam distillation. Unlike some of the more modern extraction techniques that use harsh solvents, our supplier uses steam exclusively to separate the oil in rose petals from the floral water. The water that collects during this process (hydrosol) is imbued with the soothing active constituents and subtle aroma of the flower. Why Magnesium? Magnesium is a critical factor in GABA production, an inhibitory neurotransmitter that helps your brain achieve a state of calm by blocking neuron activity. When the body's store of magnesium is depleted, the brain cannot produce GABA -- leading to a state of mental restlessness and stress.
