Description

Review Candid and often sexually explicit, this book will have you hooked. -- Company MagazineWell written, dirty and amusing. -- Scarlet Synopsis Tired of looking for Mr Right when all she wanted was casual fun, Dawn Porter placed an ad online to see what handsome, wealthy and charming men would respond to her request for surprising nights out and possibly more. Nine months later and the results make for jaw-dropping reading. A cast of characters you couldn't invent do their best to impress Ms Porter with their wit, wisdom and physical attributes. With nicknames like the 'very clever wolf' and the 'big bumbino', these would-be suitors' antics read like a modern comedy of sexual manners. Not content with looking for lust with cute guys, Ms Porter explores her 'bi-curious' side and builds up to a liaison with a couple. With a taste for fancy restaurants, fine wines and men who make her laugh, Dawn's dates are a bang-up-to-the minute look at modern dating from a clued-up young woman with her eyes on the prize. The question is, will she actually fall for any of her dates? See all Product description

Blimey..

Bought this after seeing Dawn on TV reviewing Her latest book and it certainly opened my eyes to modern living.Teetering between Brigit Jones and something you could easily read in a mans mag, Dawn gives a warts and all insight into a world of Real people looking for escapism through internet dating with the aim of satisfying their fantasies and lust.Quite Graphic in places it makes for a entertaining read and well worth it, only let down is that towards the end it becomes slightly repetitive but still an eye opener..

A great read

This book was a great read. I bought the book because I like the way Dawn Porter comes across in TV documentaries and thought I knew what to expect. To some degree she came across the same as she does on TV - funny, articulate, likeable, but this book showed more depth of character. I actually felt this was a really brave book and really admired Dawn for her honesty. I was frequently surprised at her frankness and the way she genuinely embraced the task at hand. It didn't feel like she was just going through the motions for the sake of a publishing deal, she was really experiencing each date. The descriptions of the people she met were perceptive and I really felt like I would know them if I met them I'm going to lend this book to my best friend who's currently internet dating. I would definitely buy another book by Dawn even though I don't normally read non-fiction.

Enjoyable - But Fizzled Out Towards the End

I love Dawn Porter. I think she's funny, smart, witty and a role model for women - But this book didn't really cut the mustard for me.I was expecting something a little bit sexier, more graphic - not in a crude way. Just something that gave it a bit more spark. It started off well and I enjoyed the conversations that took place between Dawn and her potential lovers via the dating site, text messages etc. It's left me thinking internet dating really is just people looking for sex and not much more!Still looking forward to Paper Aeroplanes though.

Fantastic

Dawn Porter has to be my ultimate favourite author. She is candid, witty, quick off the mark with an amazing lust for new things to try!! She had me in fits of giggles with her experiences in this book. She is so down to earth and it's fab. I really enjoyed this book. All girls need to read this!!!

good laugh

Excellent! Just what I needed after serious literature. I had a good laugh... It's not serious literature and there's a few spelling mistakes and typo but this is a great entertaining book.

Great book

Brought this book for my holiday, and it was perfect. Just a nonsense read by the pool with a cocktail.
