Instructions were excellent. With the installation, added a layer of protection from off the street access to the property.

I like this a lot. My door had many failed holes on it. This one also screwed to the side of the door. It works great so far, took some strong hits well.

I decided to fabricate a new gate for our driveway after the store brand vinyl gate decided to crack after one month of Midwest weather. We've had this brand in the past, and really enjoyed the looks of it. They included a template, which made the install easy. Make sure your gate is level and set where you want it. There isn't much adjustment (only in the pin side). My wife likes how easy it is to unlock the gate, especially via the front button.

The instructions provided were very helpful for installation. I had to adapt slightly given was mounting between 2x gates and not a stationary post. My only complaint is that if the gate latch is locked, you need a key from both sides to be able to open the latch. It would make sense to be able to to set it such you only need a key from the "outside" to be able to open the gate. We will probably need to leave a key locally hanging on the inside of the fencing if choose to leave gate latched all the time.

I bought two of these from different sellers. The first one was a knockoff made out of zinc. That one was a pain in the ass to keep the button from not sticking. The packaging came in clear bags. The second one came in the official branded packaging. Note that it had the company logo unlike the other one. I’m very pleased with the branded one, very sturdy and strong spring button. Installing takes time and patience. I did mine within 1.5 hours. My first one took like 2-3 hours and was done incorrectly. Make sure you measure twice!!!!

The lock and latch work perfect with my 4×4 post that my gate is on .I would definitely Recommend this lock and latch to any family or friends that are looking for a solid lock and latch for there Gate .

It’s fine, but not great. The outside button sticks a lot, which could potentially leave you locked out. The mounting bracket sticks out a lot into the gap, so you need a good bit of clearance to install this.The most frustrating problem is that unlike most gates you can’t set this to automatically lock when the gate closes - this *should* work like most gates, where you unlock it to open which temporarily allows the hasp to lift, and then you can close it back and it will lock back. But it doesn’t, you have to actually lock it by hand instead, which is annoying.If you can look past that, the installation is rather easy - you’ll just need a drill and a hacksaw, and it will only take you about fifteen minutes. An improvement to the design would be to allow more clearance where the hasp is installed so that you can use a drill with a Philips bit to insert the screws, as it is you’ll have to do it by hand with a screwdriver.
