Pen Nib 66 Extra Fine Arrow

This nib is nice and flexible. It was simple, I just taped the nib to my feather and dipped. After a little practice for the right pressure and angle, I was writing away. This particular nib is flexible enough to get several different thicknesses with the same tip. It also holds a good amount of ink. I would recommend this especially is you need a fast replacement for a good price.

I had some Speedball fine point nibs and found it extremely frustrating to use (I'm only getting into calligraphy and they were the brand that my local art store carried). I heard good things about Brause and I'm a convert. This nib is extremely responsive to pressure which allows me to be really expressive. I'm planning on trying my hand at Brause 361 Steno "Blue Pumpkin" Calligraphy Pen Nib - Fine Point, but I'd really like to minimize shipping costs and maybe pick up some other nibs to ship all at once.

These are amazing for writing very small, e.g. in the margins of old books. But they tend to lose fidelity pretty quickly on rougher paper (eg., a more textured watercolor paper) -- afterwards the ink flows inconsistently. If you're writing on smooth parchment or a waxed page, they'll last quite a while. For other uses, consider them highly expendable -- I was lucky to get 2-3 hours out of one nib when writing on rag paper.Still, 10/10 would buy again. Just next time I'll buy more at once.

I am an intermediate calligraphy student and the Brause EF66 is my nib of choice. I ordered one online as an order from my regular supplier was delayed & I’m impatient :). The nib was scratchy and difficult straight out of the package (after prepping ofc). By the end of my very brief initial session the tines were visually split. I have never had this issue with any other nib.Believe the negative reviews. The cost was 3x that of my regular supplier & the nib was exceptionally poor quality.

This nib fits the Speedball Oblique Holder. It glides smoothly on parchment as well as on printer paper. The nib holds an adequate amount of ink for copperplate calligraphy. This nib also has a Goldilocks flexibility, not to firm and not to soft.

I love this tip. I was surprised by the flexibility and quality. I am thoroughly enjoying writing with this and will never use cheaply made nibs again. Well worth it and I will buy more.

Who knew something so small could be so wonderful?Im fairly new at calligraphy and had purchased several types of nibs before but I wanted thinner thin lines and fatter fat lines. A nib with more flexibility would great and this is it! I have a feeling Ill be buying more of these.

I absolutely LOVE this nib it is my favorite! I gave it 4 stars only because it is way over priced, $6.80. I bought it out of necessity of the quick shipping but you can get this at paper and ink for less than $2. I have tried about 5 different nibs and this is by far my favorite it is flexible enough to write with beautiful thick and thins but not too flexible that the ink comes out too heavy. I am at intermediate level so maybe if I practiced more with my other more flexible nibs. But I have to say this is so easy to use with such beautiful results.
