I've had major shoulder surgery repair on February 21st of 2025, second repair, fourth shoulder surgery overall between both. The injury was from serving my country not that it makes it any more different from anybody else. A consisted of three torn tendons with two having to be reattached to the bone, and a very badly injured labrum that required extensive cleanup work, got an achromoplasty and partial bursaectomy. When you tear attendance severely this is not uncommon it's just the degree of how bad. Unfortunately this one was really bad.Shoulder surgery is brutal but a repair is just a whole other couple of levels above that. Having little ice packs helps a little but the one it physical therapy made a huge difference, they wanted $80 on Amazon for that, I found this to be as good and half the price.Having this be as a gel and not refillable and it covers the entire shoulder injury including the supporting areas such as the rombpids and the traps and a little bit of the chest. All of this makes a huge difference in my pain and recovery as I'm doing more during my recovery.Initially it is a little bit difficult to put on, but figure it out first and get it sized and adjusted right. once I did that, it's wonderful, I just put it in the freezer and it takes me about 15 seconds to put on. If that.I am giving it five stars because I think once you figure out how it needs to fit you it works as good as the one they have in physical therapy now I have it at home and I can do it as often as I need!I personally think this is a must if you have ANY shoulder surgery!I will see over time on the durability, but I am not anticipating any durability issues as long as you take care of it.

My husband just had his third shoulder replacement. We wish we had had this item the first two times! What a difference it has made in pain reduction and improved healing. We've used different ice packs before, and nothing has compared to this one. The gel inside provides a calming effect, while the design over the shoulder is perfect. We bought one prior to this surgery, and after we saw how wonderful it was, we ordered a second. We can rotate them so there's always a cold one waiting. Highly recommend!

I have used this shoulder pack on three occasions. This product works well and retains a cold temperature. The shoulder strap was not comfortable for me. I don’t consider myself a large man I’m 5’9” and 170 pounds. I couldn’t get the strap to a comfortable position. So I have used the ice pack without it. It still covered the necessary area of the shoulder and still worked well for me seated.

I love the comfort of this pack. Easy to fit and I am very pleased with the results. It is so comfortable and I can do things while I have it on that I forget I have it on (I need to set a timer). I, in general, do not care for ice packs, because I get too cold and they’re cumbersome and/or uncomfortable. I highly recommend this item.

In addition to this shoulder sleeve, I also have their elbow sleeve. I can honestly say that this company makes the absolute BEST cold therapy products I have ever used. There are no "scratchy" or plastic parts - the sleeves are 100% smooth and comfortable. The sleeve stays cold for a long time also - highly recommend!

I tested this shoulder ice pack previous to shoulder replacement surgery. Wow! It's super easy to put on, and the strap that keeps it on is also easy to pull with the uninvolved arm - a very pleasant surprise. I'm kind of small, and I was worried about that particular aspect. I agree with other reviewers that it's pretty intensely cold at first (even with a t-shirt underneath), but it mellows out, and lasts for plenty of time. It covers front, top and back of my shoulder perfectly.

Great product for larger people. I am 125 pounds, 5 1/2 ft. tall. Strap is too long and can't secure therefore, falls off shoulder. I could cut the strap and sew if I want to. Arm part of the sleeve is also too large. It would be better if there was a velcro connection to secure around the arm. Will probably return.

This shoulder ice pack is amazing. I just got it in the mail, put it into the freezer and tried it on for the first time. It's made of a 1/2 inch thick solid but squishy gel material and covered with a soft stretchy material. I just had rotator cuff repair and will be returning to work 11 days post op. Icing is essential especially early on in recovery. I do have a cold therapy machine, but was looking for something a little more portable while I'm at work or out and about. It's pretty comfortable. There are no straps that go under the arm on the side that has ghe ice pack on it, but its super soft ans stretchy so thats a bonus. It stays cold for 20+ mins. I think this checks all my boxes.The only 3 "cons" are:It is a bit on the heavy side.I did need a little help putting it on since I only have 1 hand I can use... I do think it will get easier with practice.Lastly, you probably should wear a shirt underneath it because it gets VERY cold.
