Harem Slave: One Thousand Nine Hundred and Four Days of Hell on the Persian Gulf: Volume 1 (Human Trafficking)

The reality of life as a Harem Slave.
This book is one of the very few that have really affected me; I have read many erotic harem stories but not one that delved the depths of depravity quite as this one. I'll admit to have been titillated by some of those stories imagining achingly beautiful women luxuriating in opulent splendour whilst dreaming of their beloved master. This is not the usual sex slave in a harem novel, although given that the subject matter is slaves, harems and therefore sex it can at times be quite erotic. It is more of a documentary telling the story of a young girl's experiences of slavery in the Middle East. Touching on many lives, from the downtrodden women of some countries to the utterly subjugated and terrified ones, forced like her into actual slavery. Some of the men have so much wealth they simply don't know what to do with it and consequently suffer no restraints on their behaviour, which results in the scarcely believable terrors that the victims of human trafficking can be forced to suffer that really beggar belief. This harrowing story is the result of the author collecting stories on trafficking but even if the veracity of only some of these scenarios were proven then such suffering would cause most people to lose their sanity.Tammy is abducted and sold to a harem where she discovers the reality of being a female slave in the Middle East. The drab, dingy woman's house where she was forced to stay, suffering from the heat, the language, the spiteful indifference of the other women whilst trying to survive on the leftovers from the men's table, although it's the stultifying boredom that is probably her worst problem. When her eighty one year old owner discovers that she isn't the busty Nordic girl he ordered, he sells her and she moves through various other harems, of varying opulence before ending up being owned by a prince who leases her out to a gentleman's club, one of many in the area that cater to all tastes of human depravity. The ultimate deterrent, held over all the club workers is being sent to a snuff club where the victims are slowly tortured to death for the pleasure of the members. Whilst in her club she is forced to endure unimaginable privations for many hours each day but still appear to be happy and enthusiastic; and at the same time retain her sanity.I really liked and thoroughly enjoyed reading this book, strangely associating with Tammy; found it very hard to put down as I kept wanting to know what happened next. I highly recommend this well researched and well written book unless you have a squeamish disposition and/or dislike sexual adult themes.

Not what it purports to be
Billed as authentic, one soon becomes aware that it really can't deserve that description. Given the depth of supposed depravity, and the incessant application of it, the ability of the subject to recount page after page of individual conversations while lapsing in and out of consciousness (we're told), just isn't humanly possible. Keith Hoare's Karen Harris is far more believable AND the perpetrators get their come-uppance, whereas one might think this is still going on.

is this for real!!
i have read many books on trafficking, and one thing that always hits you from the victims is that the sexual acts they were forced to do with the aggressor they hated with a vengenance they did it because it was survival, reading this book was like reading an adult book for somebody to get their kicks, we all know what rapists, traffickers do to their victim, but what i sensed in this book was that she seemed to like the sex with certain people, then brag about the performance to me that is not a victim who has been abused it is someone who clearly enjoyed having sex with what she called good looking men, lets also note in this book the Cameroon diplomat raped her in the car when she wanted to go to the American embassy, lets also note he took her back to the office where she had to work 7 days a week for 15 to 17 hours then face the punishment, is this story for true? i have some doubts, maybe just maybe she has used graphic scenes on what other trafficking victims faced or what she found when researching to me her name whore suited her to the max, it never came across about what she hated and i actually found the book to be a little disturbing to say the least because many victims of trafficking lose self- worth to the point they even commit suicide, the book seems just another type of form of pornography, the guy she married in Cameroon in a town called yaounde try finding the minister of foreign affairs, to me this is just a book with porn with little bits thrown in what true traffickers have had to deal with how many of them enjoy the sex they have been forced into?

Great book
This is one of the most horrific books I’ve read of how people can treat other people. I truly admire the author who survived the most horrific, heartbreaking life as a sex slave. An amazing lady of true strength and courage.

A harrowing read.
I wouldn't normally have chosen this book to read, but had read an article recently regarding the spread of sex trafficking. Found the book to be interesting in spite of the fact that it was very upsetting to read regarding the things done to these poor women. In this case the author was one of the lucky ones who managed to get away, and deserves a medal for being so willing to talk and write about her experiences, which she must have found to be very upsetting as the natural instinct is to try and forget all about what has happened, but this is just not possible. The perpetrators of these crimes deserve to be punished most severely and jailed for life.

Tammy is a very strong person to go through what she did and survive. What a great story of her time in captivity.I recommend to read this, but be open minded, there are some unbelievably grotesque situations.
