We tried troubleshooting the issues with the calibration of this meter but nothing worked. We followed the instructions and used the correct type of water. The reading are always different in each of buffer solutions. Sometimes the readings just keep rising way past what is expected. There is no way we can use this and get a correct result even if we averaged the reads, the numbers swing too much. We will be returning this meter.

This meter will not calibrate properly, despite following the directions exactly as they were written. Also they only provided two of the three chemical calibration packets. This device does not work properly, do not buy it, or you will be very sorry. I will be immediately returning this for a full refund.

You get what you pay for. This meter isn't much that's for sure. It's easy to get water in the top around the battery so be careful. It doesn't keep a good steady ph. There's other meters cheaper that's just as good so keep looking. I'd give this 3stars it might last a few mths if you keep the probe wet which it says nothing of in the worthless instructions. Get a cheaper meter this isn't any better. Found one for $5 just as good.

It seems to work really great for the price. But the second time I used it the electronics were wrecked by water. I don't know how it got in, except I left water in the sensor cap to keep it moistened.It should be sealed better.

Excellent meter with surprising accuracy.Comes calibrated according to my long trusted phstrips, though I've yet to test the calibration kit that's included. Great buy for the price.

For a guy who minored in chemistry, I found this to be total junk and waste of my time. I followed instructions precisely using distilled water. I measured the water temperature, used separate glasses, mixing sticks and filter paper for each solution. I rinsed with distilled water and dried with separate paper between each step. Once each calibration step completes, the meter values fluctuate wildly. Value changes are too extreme to get any meaningful readings.

Never got it to calibrate using their packets. Followed directions to a T (for use and troubleshooting).Had to purchase a higher end PH tester to confirm all of this. No contact info for Deronweer in the packaging (thoughit has a Twitter and Facebook icon on the instructions itself) and no luck via Google search. Essentially a 'piece of junk' going in the trash after considerable sleuthing time. Finally went with Hanna Instruments HI98103 and pleased with ease of use and quality of product.

Replaced LR44 batts w/ 357s. Unit doesn't power up.
