bright white light, red lights are almost useless
I had to give this headlamp only 2 stars because of how many bad things I have to say about it. The red LEDs are pretty useless for walking around, they aren't bright enough to light up your own feet. Maybe if you are reading a map they would be helpful. I used it once for writing in a notebook and it was bright enough for that. I tried using the motion sensor mode while drilling holes in a wall. Whenever I turned towards something that was less than 2 feet from my face, it would turn off. I guess this mode would be useful if you are working on something farther away, and your hands are dirty. The instructions label the buttons as if you are looking into the light, not wearing it. The manual warns about immediately turning it off if it starts to dim. I assume this is because it has no built in battery protection and you could easily discharge it to an unsafe level. And to top it all off, the font on the elastic is Comic Sans.On the flip side, the battery life seems good, I haven't run it down all of the way yet. The microUSB charging is very convenient considering how many chargers I have lying around the house. The white light has been plenty bright for what I've used it for. And it was pretty cheap.

Really nice headlamp. USB charging is a great feature so that you don't have ot buy batteries and can charge from your car USB port, computer, etc. Bright main beam and red light for nighttime is nice to have as well.Headlamp is adjustable and swivels down so you can focus the beam downwards and out of peoples' eyes.Overall very happy with this purchase.

Great Lamp and USB charging!
I have several head lamps but this is the only one that has rechargeable batteries. I like that you can recharge it with the USB cord like your phone and it last quite awhile. The lamp is very bright and comes in handy for all kinds of projects. Hands free light is the only way to go when working on the truck or cars.
