Green Clear are a Premium Brand UV Bulb, Not to be Confused with many cheaper versions on the market! UV lamps used for sterilisation purposes should be replaced every 6 months ( approx 4000 hours). Lamps used for clarification of ponds can be replaced every 12 months ( approx 8000 hours). When changing UV lamp we recommend that Quartz Sleeve is cleaned at same time. These Replacement UV bulbs are not for aquarium use. Pond clarifiers only. (please be aware not to look at any UV bulbs with the naked eye)

Not installed one yet, but I do not see any problems. Replacing these bulbs is an annual must do.

installed in the evening was able to see the bottom of 6ft deep pond by the morning.
