UV lamps used for sterilisation purposes should be replaced every 6 months ( approx 4000 hours) Lamps used for clarification of ponds can be replaced every 12 months ( approx 8000 hours) When changing UV lamp we recommend that Quartz Sleeve is cleaned at same time. These Replacement UV bulbs are not for aquarium use. Pond clarifiers only. (please be aware not to look at any UV bulbs with the naked eye)

Dose what it says on the tin
Delivered in specified time and in full working order. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars is because there was no length given in product description, which is 165mm by the way. Other than that very happy with it and good value for money.

not used so far as I purchased this as a reserve, but it does look just like the one I will replace, with excellent delivery and at a better price than the garden centre, so will buy again.

Very effective
Clear pond still going strong 1 year on. I'm using in a pond that is right on the upper limit of size for these all in one pump filters. Might need to take a peek again this spring!

good quality bulb
good quality bulb, great value for money compared to aquarium shops (£20), at this price I change mine every year, because after 5000 hours of use the UV is about 80% efficient.

Size of Bulbs
I was confused by the images of these bulbs, and felt that the supporting information was unclear as to their size, and once received I realised they were longer than I anticipated and would not fit my pond filter unit. On seeking toreturn them I found that this was not permitted.
