Works well as a filter, measure your old filter before you buy these, though. Despite the description it does NOT fit a Winix 5510 model (which gets wrapped in with the 5500-2). 5510 takes 12.9"x11" filters, these are too large for it. Took a star because it was so frustrating searching 5510 and every filter that came up basically synonymized the models and said it would fit it because the 5510 is the "updated" version of the 5500-2.

These are truly high quality filters. They fit my 5500-2 perfectly. The charcoal filter is heavy and loaded full of pellets. There is no odor or any other issues. Great value.

Good filters, perfect fit.

I purchased these replacement filters for my air purifier that is being used in a kitchen with a mold issue. They have worked extremely well and my kitchen air tested clean after only a week. Granted, I did try to remove as much of the moldy drywall, cabinets affected but the overall air smell improved drastically. I like the 2 pack so I have a backup for whenever it is needed.
