Q: Can these be sharpened , or do they go in the bin after a couple months of cutting?

One edge is serrated so more difficult to sharpen. The other edge is smooth and can be sharpened like other scissors. I have been using mine to cut loft insulation, carpet, plastic sheeting, nylon rope (as used for washing lines), and leather constantly for the past month or more and they are still as sharp as when I bought them. The serrations are great because they help grip materials when cutting. I don't use the sheath because it's just an added annoyance for me but it provides a way to store them safely. I would definitely buy another pair if I broke mine. I haven't tried the wire cutting slots, I have proper wire cutters for that work.

Quality and versatility

Damn sharp! These will cut Kevlar cord even a thin thread hanging free, super fine cut yet super tough and well made at bargain price!They’re in my tool kit for work (handyman) but work for food prep and fabric cutting just as well or a med kit.Defo most useful scissors I’ve ever come across.I’m an Engineer brand fan boy now as the quality, product design and ingenuity is up there with Knipex, Leatherman, Bosch Blue etc.

Brilliant well worth the cost.

Brilliant, managed to cut everything I needed them for. I like the serrated edge, gripping strands that would otherwise escape. You wont regret it.

Very well made with sturdy, large handles. The blades are ultra sharp but a little short for my liking. The serrated blade grips material very well.

Excellent Scissors!

Bought a pair in October 2021 and they are still razor sharp todayBought another pair in December 2024, after misplacing the first pair. When the originals were found, comparing the two I cannot tell which were the original and which the replacements.It is rare to find good quality anything, these days, particularly via amazon, but if you need sturdy scissors that will cut almost anything, these will do the job nicely.

For the price, very very good multi purpose "work" scissors, have come in good use, comfortable, very sharp and nice to see the protector cap! Are paying a little premium for being a Japanese made brand but its so work it!
