GOOD QUALITY, nice design (perfect for the job) - - - & GREAT VALUE to get two for this price! - - -
I needed a C-type to standard (full sized) USB converter mainly to connect USB sticks to my new MS Surface Go - which is a sort of miniature laptop that really does need high capacity USB sticks to supplement its storage as well as move large files around faster than via WiFi (I bought the 128Gb SDD version of the surface, but even so). I also wanted my converter cable(s) to be specifically rated as capable of USB 3.1 data transfers because many of my files are large and I wanted the best transfer speeds possible. (Sharp eyed people might notice the USB stick I show in the photo is 3.0 not 3.1 - its still nice and fast but I also have a 3.1 stick and that's what I'll be using more for large files and its good to have maximum, most up to date comparability).Anyhow, for this purpose I think it MUCH BETTER to have a short, neat, high quality cable than a simple solid connector with C-USB at one end and the standard USB at the other. The reason(s) should be obvious; with a short cable the USB stick doesn't stick out (no pun intended) which is both clumsy/ugly looking and prone to poor connections and occasional file corruption if the thing wobbles a bit during a big file transfer (some of my files are more well over a Gb each and take a while to move around even with USB 3.1).Having the short, neat cable hanging down is perfect - it looks better and from a technical point of view is a considerably more robust and reliable solution. In terms of quality - I really like these cables, they seem excellent to me; well made and well finished in many subtle details and areas I've taken a close look at and am happy with. There don't seem to be any rough or badly jointed areas either on the cable connections into the two USB housing(s) or the housing(s)/casing(s) on each end. All looks fine to me even on close scrutiny - IF I wasn't happy (but I am) I'would have returned them right away and certainly not given this "glowing" review!Cosmetically, I find the colour and appearance of the braided outer sheaf very professional and attractive looking - absolutely nothing naff or tacky about these cables. They look like pukka "gear" to me, and for grown ups not kids.finally, in terms of value for money... what can I say... a twin pack for £6-99 including delivery (we have Amazon Prime).... incredible for such a useful, high quality, technically sophisticated product, and TWO of them too! Not just good value but I'd call that EXCELLENT value.Five stars, no question.

Seem to work well after 24 hours !
I've been using these because I've just bought a new Mac mini after using Windows 10 for over 5 years and still have a lot of devices with rectangular USB plugs and sockets and the latest Mac only has USB-C/Thunderbolt 4/5 style sockets.I haven't had any problems so far !
