Like the pliability of the meshed aluminium so that you can achieve a secure fit into the down pipe and then profile the top section to make this very secure in the gutter. Not only will it stop leaves from blocking up the down pipe, this was also bought to stop rats from coming out from the down pipe. Being aluminium means that these will not rust and disintegrate in a couple of years time. Great value for money and ease of installation.

Arrived quickly, packed inside each other ,which makes sense but had a terrible time trying to separate them. Almost pulls them out of shape completely but they are flexible so managed. Anyone who has trouble with their hands be warned, you will need help and watch out for the sharp edges , having said that for the money they do the job, at the end of the day, all I wanted was something to stop the debris from overhead trees going down the down pipe. They will hopefully do that job. Time will tell.

Great downpipe guard. Sturdy metal mesh. Easy and adjustable to fit, and can be adjusted not to stick up too high; unlike others. Plus the ball end means you can’t easily lose it down the downpipe.

I live in an area where a lot of leaves get blown onto our roof, which then get washed down into our guttering.These leaves can then block the entry to the downpipes and so leaving us with overflowing guttering, not good!These metal mesh guards are very easy to fit, you simply squeeze them to the required size by hand and then insert them into the top of your downpipe. Simples.Be aware that the mesh has sharp edges, so a pair of gloves is recommended!I've fitted them to our large household guttering and also into the smaller diameter downpipe on my shed, they've worked well for both sizes.They've been really effective, and while they don't remove the need to clean out the guttering they do at least stop the leaves blocking any downpipes in which they're fitted.At £6.99 I think the value for money is decent.I hope you find my review helpful.

In use and does the trick.

It hasn't rained yet, but they were easy to manipulate, and seem to be firmly in place.It helped that I had a spare bit of downpipe to get the fit right before going up the ladder.

First time I’ve used these and they seem to work fine. I found them a little difficult to fit as I could not push them as far down the down pipe as I wanted because who ever fitted the guttering screwed the end fitting to the down pipe, blocking pushing the aluminium mesh more than a few centimetres down the down pipe. Seems to work stopping leaves.
