Great long life light, minimal package and works as advertised.
Great product idea. There seems to be a great deal of flash light collectors out there, but frankly my needs were pretty basic. My biggest compliant is how fast some of the newer flashlights consume power and worse, having a flashlight dead on you is something you usually only find out when you actually need it. This is by no needs fancy, and it seems expensive for what it is, basically a plastic cap which pops onto any 9-volt battery. However, I found it to be pretty well built, the on/off switch (the only movable item) in particularly didn't seem to be a China $0.99 item, but something was built to withstand some usage. The surprise is how bright it is with virtually any 9-volt battery. It's also easy to put into your pocket and carry around. The low setting is more than enough light for general walking about (I use it to read menu's in dark restaurants) and the high light setting is good enough to do some basic searching for something you lost in a dark corner.Overall - very happy with purchase and it's quite a novelty to show off.

Great for travel
Small, compact, bright, and always handy. It is the most essential travel item after your passport and money. Never leave home without this in your pocket, carryon, suitcase. I’ve had at least one since they started business

Just AWESOME
Very well thought out and manufactured source of illumination.Compact, simple, powerful enough for the intended purpose, long battery life...the glowing top is very helpful in difficult situationsI bought 3 but probably I'll be ordering another 3... between the house, car and several backpacks 6 will not be too much! Thanks folks, I am very happy with my PAK-LITE

Great light but with one puzzlement con
These lights have been out for quite a few years now with (as far as I know) only one LED upgrade but despite the now proliferation of cheap, bright LED lights, these are still a good value in my opinion. I have bought two, one as a gift and one for myself. I paired the one for myself with an ultralife battery which in itself is built like a tank. This light is my main night stand light. The high setting is adequate for many night vision adapted tasks and the low is low enough so you can read your watch or other up close items without destroying your night vision. It's often the only light I bring traveling with me and whenever I go hiking, I throw it in the backpack. If for some case I was to get stranded I know this light could provide possibly several nights worth of light if need be. It's so small and inconspicuous, it's more comfortable to carry then a keychain. This uses Nichia LEDs which are considered perhaps the best of the 5mm LEDs but my only real con with this light is that Nichia has upgraded these LEDs several times so that you now get more light for the same amount of power but for reasons for which I don't understand, as I mentioned above, Pak-lite only ever choose to upgrade these LEDs one time.

Great flashlight in a very compact package
I really like this little flashlight. It provides enough light on the low setting to be very useful in very dark situations. When it's not as dark, or when more light is needed, the high beam is more suitable. The light is quite effective out to about 20 feet on high beam, but due to the two LED arrangement, it casts a figure-eight shaped pattern. At first I was surprised by this, but quickly learned to use it to my advantage and now really like the coverage.I have used it for rummaging around a dark bedroom without waking my wife, jogging at night, getting around a camp site, and have kept it in my bedside table for "just in case." After a couple of months of ownership, the original battery is still going very strong. I love the security I feel in having this light available for emergencies knowing how long it can burn on a 9-volt battery. I'll probably pick up a second Pak-Lite to keep in the car.

Disappointed
Switch broke within the first 4 days of use while out backpacking. Have used paklite for over a decade. Very disappointed.

This is a great little flashlight that has a long battery life, and is useful in lots of ways. It's rectangular shape lets you stand it up or lay it down to direct light where you need it, and the top glows in the dark so it's easy to find. This is actually the second of these lights that I have owned. The first one that I had for about two years was lost on a hunting trip. When I returned home, I immediately ordered another one so I would have it to use for the next hunt which was ten days away. It arrived from Amazon in about five days, (at a lower price than the Pak-Lite web site). When I returned to the same hunting site, (using the new light to get there before daybreak) I noticed a faint light in the fall leaves on the ground. It was the flashlight that was lost ten days before and although dim it was still on! About the only cons I can think of is its price and the switch sometimes turns on just carrying it in your pocket.
