Great pole. Light and comfortable. Affordable.
Pros: Have loved these. Lightweight. Easy set up. Very packable. Affordable. Great handgrips.Cons: One downfall is the clip (used to adjust length) broke at the collar section- rendering the pole unusable. Have not been able to find a replacement clip.

Not for heavy backpacking
Walking Sticks for Women - 14.5” Foldable Hiking PolesFor casual day-hiking, this hiking poles are really great. It fold small and compact. It is easy to take it apart and put back together. For my day hikes, these trekking poles worked out great.I took them to a multi-day backpacking, but it couldn't take the stress and started to bend when I had to lean on them to support me and my backpack. At the end of my backpacking trip, one of my poles was bent, curved a bit. However, for the price, it is a fantastic trekking pole for casual hikes.

My favorite poles I’ve ever owned
I wanted a set of poles that would fit in my adventure bike’s top case, but everything I found was $100+. I saw these and investigated them thoroughly thinking that the price meant they would be cheaply made. I was pleasantly surprised when I got them as they are quality-built of strong super light aluminum. I discovered that one of the locking buttons wouldn’t pop out unless I took a key and popped it out manually. I decided that I would just live with it that way because everything else was just what I wanted: cork grips and extended foam lower grips, great quality materials, etc. I use the poles on hiking trip and daily on light duty trail running in the Missouri hills where I live. After using them for 18 months, the button finally jammed for good and I couldn’t free it. I decided to email the company to see if they could sell me just one pole. The company responded within a week and expressed concern over my inconvenience. They asked me to send them a few pics, my address and receipt, which I did. Again they responded quickly and informed me that they were sending me a replacement right away. (This was 6 months out of warranty and I didn’t expect it.) They followed up a couple days later to advise me the pole was shipped and asked me to let them know when I receive it. The new pole arrived a few days later. To me, this level of customer care doesn’t exist anymore except in rare companies! I won’t hesitate to buy High Stream Gear again, and I will recommend them out on the trail!

Great for travel, no click
I have been using hiking sticks for over 20 years, in the beginning just for hiking, but as I "matured", they became very helpful in extending my ability to walk long distances. This is usually especially important in travel, and I do a fair amount of traveling to destinations by plane, with just carry on luggage. These sticks fold so they fit easily in my carry on luggage. I know hiking sticks are not officially allowed in the cabin, but I have gone by plane several times with them in my carryon luggage without problems. I had another pair, but they have an annoying click with every step, so you can hear me coming. Because you stretch these until the button pops out, there is no click, which is most refreshing. I also like the cork handles, because they are more comfortable in my hand. I took off one star because they are not shock absorbing, and because the handles don't bend at a 15 degree angle, but that is all. Price is good, too.

First time with trekking poles--they got me through Peru!
On a recent tour of famous Incan ruins with LOTS of uneven stairs (Ollantayambo, Machu Picchu), I tried out my new collapsible hiking poles and they worked like a charm. I carried these 3-section lightweight poles in their narrow pouch in my backpack, and then when our tour reached the climbing parts I was able to quickly snap them together (practice at home first to know the pole length you want; the written instructions give you tips for your height). Once the climbs were over, the poles quickly came apart back to the original 15-inch length for the pouch. You do need some hand and arm strength to push together and pull apart the poles, but I found it doable on the first try. This was my first big trip since breaking my ankle last year and these sturdy, customizable poles gave me a sense of safety and comfort.

Incredible Quality/Price Ratio and top-notch customer service.
So, I bought them a while back in preparation for a summer of Hiking. They were one of the only brands I could find that had both Cork Grip (so much more comfortable than rubber) and aluminum construction (Instead of Carbon Fiber, which is lighter but also more fragile). The other pair I found that was similar cost almost doubles the price. So, I decided to get one these to see myself what they were worthing.I’m glad to say they exceed my expectation. At first glance I could see that they were well made, I like the folding design since it allows me to put them on the side of my Backpack when not in use. The carrying pouch is nice although I don’t think I will be using it on my belt since I have already too much around it. The tips provided are convenient to allow you some flexibility in their use.I’ve used them so far, half a dozen times so far on a beginner / intermediate level of trails, and they are holding up pretty well.Unfortunately, during a really hard and rough hike, one of the trekking poles snaps out at the handle level. I manage to fix it back on the spot (Praise duct tape) and was able to finish my hike while being cautious without any further issue. Back home I reach to their customer support about my problem, and in a matter of days I’ve received a completely new one. So, I’m as much if not more impress by their customer service, which is rare nowadays.

A good product with excellent customer service available.
I bought these as a Christmas gift for my wife. She is very pleased with them! She had a hip replacement a number years ago and these poles give her a feeling of stability and added confidence when she is walking off of paved surfaces. The poles are easy to adjust and and collapse/fold down so that they can easily be packed when travelling. The poles arrived on the date they were supposed to and I received email contact from the supplier on the same day, assuring me that they were there if I needed any help setting them up. In addition, they provided a video showing step by step set up instructions. These are good quality poles and the customer contact and service is exemplary!

BOTH broke within hours of each other!
Out of the box, these seemed to be really great. Most hikes I didn't use them so I figure they have had < 10 hours use in all. This past week on a hike, 1 pole broke inside, so the shock cord mechanism no longer holds the bottom segment and that segment fell away. The following day I went out using just the remaining pole, and an hour in it broke apart at exactly the same spot! That's consistent at least...clearly there is a design defect. This is a lesson to beware of initial reviews of anything. You want to know how things hold up over time.

Comfortable, easy to assemble and sturdy.
Have now used the poles several times and really like them. I originally got the poles to assist me with long walks as I recently hand a stroke and lost all function to my right leg and arm. I'm at a point of my recovery that I can finally walk unassisted but fatigue sets in quicker then I would like and carrying a cane doesn't make sense. These poles are perfect as they are small and easy to assemble, not to mention they are also comfortable. I find I am going on much longer walk and getting back into hiking much sooner then I thought. They are sturdy and give me the confidence when walking longer distances or on unpaved trails. Fabulous product, highly recommend them.

Sturdy, light-weight and super-convenient - what else are you looking for in a travel pole?
These poles were indispensable on a recent trek along the Great Wall in China, where they were essential for stability in climbing up and down large, stone steps. Lightweight, sturdy (I was very confident they could take most of my full weight), and compact enough to pack in my checked-in baggage. You can't carry poles onto an aircraft, whether in carry-on or not, and using folding poles like these is essential if you want to avoid any special baggage handling. I strongly also recommend practicing opening them a few times before you plan on using them. Follow the directions EXACTLY and you shouldn't have any problems. As the pictures show, it's basically three steps: pull down the top section until the locking pin deploys; unlock the height adjustment lock and extend to your required length - being sure to NOT GO PAST the "STOP LINE" marking; close the height adjustment lock.Note that the height adjustment lock can rotate - you need to make sure it remains aligned with the grooves when closing it. This is the one weak spot - forcing a misaligned lock to close will break it, so be observant and careful when closing it.
