Good quality haven't used yet but a good edition for my printer tools

Order this, as like many, I have many spools with left-over filament so i though i'd purchase this item to weld/join them and create a full spool. The ad says easy to use- this is a total lie - the clips supplied are completely ineffective and pop off, the paper seems to offer nothing except get in the way and the tool itself doesn't weld (and on the odd occasion when it does it comes out flat.)I printed a jig to try and hold the filament, but still no joy- this item really is an overpriced piece of junk. I am quite tech-savvy and experienced 3d print user, but this product pushed my limits in both functionality and usability. my advice- don't bother. Returned for refund.

So far so good, before I used preheated knife to join filament, is tricky but needs time to practice and bit of patience, connection strong , just need keep in mind before winding on another spool and before joining : filament have to be straight . Joined just pla at the moment, keep aye until gets through extruded , after left it going on its own. Bit pricey, but much better than preheated knife lol . Thanks . Kazimieras.

Managed to save loads of filament, first class item . Welds first time every time. Great bit of kit

I picked up this filament welder hoping to salvage partial rolls. I did not want to toss them out or just have them sit around forever. I did try a few different filament welders and they were just to complicated and seemed to need two people to use them. This one does have a small learning curve and will require some patients when you first use it. You can not rush it when you are learning the process. Use the instructions provided for each type of filament. Trust me on this as it does make a HUGE difference. This filament welder saved me a lot of filament that would have not been used. Sure it a really odd looking roll I created but I'll paint whatever I use the filament on. I give this one a huge two thumbs up!

Bonjour le connecteur fonctionne très bien, juste la feuille qu'il faut utilisé reste assez dure mettre en place seul, sinon il fonctionne à merveille pour les reste de bobine.

Ho voluto provare questa pinza per saldare i filamenti 3d, visto che dopo varie stampe avevo un po' di avanzi. La prima cosa che mi ha attirato a comprarla è che il foro dove vene saldato il filo è della dimensione del filo 1.75mm. Qualche dubbio sulla tenuta della saldatura l ho avuto, perché il filo va tagliato dritto, ma dopo la prima prova sono rimasto semplicemente STUPITO! La saldatura non si nota e rimane della stessa dimensione del filo. Questo è un ottimo risultato perché non si avrà problemi di passaggio filo nella stampante per essere estruso! Nella confezione è presente tutto il necessario anche una scheda che consiglia dei tempi di saldatura materiale. Io ho provato con petg azurefilm con i tempi indicati e tutto è andato alla perfezione. Ho saldato varie rimanenze di filo facendo attenzione di tagliare il filamento più dritto possibile e carteggiandolo leggermente con la limetta (come quella delle unghie) cercando di renderlo più piatto possibile, bloccato nella carta anti aderente (secondo me è carta da forno da cucina tagliata a quadretti), inserendo il tutto nella pinza con una buona molla e le clip per il filo. Ho aspettato il tempo consigliato e via.... Ho recuperato 680gr in un filamento unico. Con questo sistema si possono anche fare filamenti multi color e sbizzarrirsi con la fantasia di colori.Consiglio a chiunque questo tipo di prodotto rispetto ad altri inquanto il risultato non è così preciso sul diametro del filo.

The learning curve for this device is ridiculous. You have to hold two pieces of filament while wrapping a nonstick paper around it and trying to clamp this on in a 1.75mm slot. Rarely produces the quality output promised. The video from the manufacturer shows it done on the first try using two 3 - 6 inch pieces. Tail end of spool is usually curved and does not cooperate. Pass this one up.
