Interesting piece of equipment!
Well, have to say it wasn’t cheap, but it really is an amazing piece of equipment. The information accrued is diverse. Broad spectrum of localised info that can be shared globally. Interesting to see and compare results from nearby weather stations. All in all a good investment!

This makes all the difference to a Davis setup. Lots of graphs, statistics etc. Expensive on its own and best purchased in a bundle from Amazon

I am copying - Mr Withnail TOP 1000 REVIEWER on 4 Jun. 2013 who says"This is an essential addition if you wish to connect your Vantage to a PC, and once connected and set-up (which can be tricky) the results are excellent, lots of information and options to view your stations readings and upload them to the net, but the current price of £150 is simply not justified on top of the several hundred you've just paid for the station. If they were charging £50 I'd give it four or five stars, but frankly in this computerised all-connected age it shouldn't be an 'add-on' at all".If you are used to weather stations, set-up is fairly straight forward but make sure you READ THE INSTRUCTIONS, otherwise, Mr W was spot on.

Necessary but Costly
Unfortunately this expensive item is required to connect your Davis weather station to your computer so you cannot do without it.

Should be better
Too expensive relative to the price of the consoleDifficult to connect to the computer due to poor installation documentation. I bought a USB model only to find that it actually uses a COM port to connect to the computer. I had to contact Davis support twice. Their advice was difficult to understand; I'm glad I'm computer literate.

Good kit
I only chose this rating because the order did not arrive until 7 th January not surprising with the holidays in the middle. The goods are as described, but a great shame that there isn't a more solid method of holding it in the Vantage Vue, I put some of the packaging material on top to secure it.
