Pretty fly for a WiFi

Great mesh solution, works as expected and the connectivity is good - range is clearly much better than using the Wifi provided by your ISP. Wife didn't even mind the aesthetics - looks like a small speaker (or the big Amazon Echo Studio speaker, but white) or an air freshener. Easy to set up with the app, also easy to maintain and view connected devices, bandwidth etc.etc. on the app as well. It has Wi-Fi tri-band - so 2.4GHz, 5GHz and 6GHz - but unless you're sat on the device, 6hz is pointless - very very fast - but doesn't travel at all though anything. I don't think this is the products problem but a 6GHz one, but it should be mentioned. Also the 6GHz signal has it's own name "YOURWIFINAME_6Ghz" that you need to add to your devices if you want to use it.Mesh is seemless, you can't tell when you're going from one of the routers to the other. Yes, they're pricy - but so are all the competition so what can you do? I've had wifi extenders before - much cheaper and you can tell why, you have to have them on different WIFI names and your devices will stick to one or the other until it loses range, regardless of the quality of the connection, so I would avoid and stump up the cash for a mesh solution like this and never worry about it ever again.

TP-Link Deco X50-Outdoor Deco Mesh system

I recently added the TP-Link Deco X50-Outdoor to my Deco Mesh system, and it has been a game-changer! The setup was super easy through the app, and the coverage is fantastic—no more dead zones in my backyard or garage. The Wi-Fi 6 speeds are fast and reliable, even with multiple devices connected. I love that it’s IP65-rated, so I don’t have to worry about rain or dust affecting it. Plus, it works seamlessly with Alexa for voice control. If you need to extend your Wi-Fi outdoors, this is the perfect solution. Highly recommend for a strong, stable connection!

Don't be silly and buy anything else.

So...I have had many wifi products over the years..and I thought I'd give this a go.My isp provided router...is utter garbage. The 2.4 and 5ghz wifi only and moving anywhere past the 10 feet mark dropped my 910/910 speed to about 100/100 and any further away..I ended up with 30/30I turned off my routers wifi (which was no loss at all) and hung this off the setup.I couldn't replace my router for this ...as I have the telephone service from them also... (crap I know)So...hanging this off the router...it sets up super easily...and walks you through the setup ...and when one is done via the app on your mobile...you simply power up the next..and click the add icon...and it adds the next..then the same again. They look great...small...solid...but that's not my reason for buying. I needed speed. Wifi speed.So.. as I said.. I have a 910 download and 910 upload service. I actually see 930/930 wired. With this setup...I see the exact same over wifi in my laptop (running an ax210 intel card)900 to 920 upload and download speeds over WiFi.What more can I say?I also had a query with support at tplink...and they were fast...helpful and solid. Knew their product inside out. Addressed a query I had and a firmware fix is applied.This...is the best wifi product I've purchased yet...and I've spent 400 on a netgear router before.This..is what you need. Wifi 7 ...isn't here or needed yet for 99% of us. Wifi 6...and 6e will do the job just fine. With 2.4mbps connections over wifi...I don't see most people needing any more than that ..even if they do get a 2000/2000 service...this still does the job.The app is solid...easy..and clear.Guest wifi... security and settings are very easy...It's a damn good product. You won't be disappointed.

Not as good as hoped

I love the designI love the app that come with it.I love the flexibility it gives me.I love the ease of setup (when i was not playing around and followed the instructions it went right!)Disappointed by the web interface and what you can do it. (not much)Disappointed in the signal strength. (read below)Disappointed by the 1g ethernet connection on back. Assumed they would be 2.5GB at least but no, only 1GBI have a 3 bed 1900 (ish) iron-brick house. Although i picked it up everywhere (better than broadband supplied router with extenders) I still had low signal in the places i wanted it to be good. Even with 3 of them i found cold spots (not dead) where buffering happened and lag become noticeable. After 3 months of frustration and disappointment (where i considered sending them back) i decided to hit the credit card and by 3 more x60's, that where on offer at the time (amazon flash deal). So now i have 6 of them (probably could have done with 5), I'm happy as a pig in mud :)Zero cold spots in the house and can still pick up signal from 20m away outside of house (neighbours must love me) so garden streaming/zoom/facetimes have been done without issues.Speed is relative when compare to a bottle neck of a internet connection which is always going to be your slowest part unless you go to a 1gig link.I've backboned 3 of them together as a test and found 2 of my 4/8 port switches didn't work (HP and Netgear). Lucky enough I recently brought a tp-link gig 5port switch which did. lots of talk on internet about it but in the end its a "try and see" if yours works or not if your going to cable backbone them. But buy/budget for a new tp-link switch if you want to cable backbone from day one. Cable backbone'ing is automatic although you need to setup as wi-fi backbone first (which it does automatically during setup). Then connect up the ethernet from switch and the x60's will do the rest by itself.Be warned though , it's not instant. Took mine 5-10min before it switched over to cable backbone. Might have been because I was confusing the hell out of it... plugging it in and then unplugging it, trying to figure out why the hell it didn't switch over....Overall i love it and cant really fault the devices directly. If you can cable them up, you save yourself a lot of money from the triband x90's. have 42 devices (on last count) on the network and it not even registering as being taxed/ overworked...Also if you have a modern (non-metal ore brick work) 3 should do you. If you do the expect to get a few more or the (sale pitched) more powerful and expensive x90's (if your stuck on TP Link, other WIFI6 MESH systems are available...)Also Also - TP-Link love and i mean really LOVE your "Network Optimisation" option. Who needs wifi sniffer and a IT networking degree / compta+ network, when you can push of a button on the deco app, which then sniffs and configures best channels for you x60's for optimal performance, if it registers conflicting /noisy wifi channels. (i've tested this with a sniffer because i'm sad i know. It does exactly do what it says on the app button!).
