Works Great
All the DVDs are functional and seem to be burning perfectly. We purchased these DVDs for installing Linux on an older laptop and couldn't believe we were having to burn a DVD (something we hadn't done in ages). It was very easy to write to these disks, and the speed seems to be just fine. While I thought these DVDs were a bit pricey per disk, we knew we were paying a premium for getting them shipped to us overnight so we could finish a household organization project on one of our old laptops.

Simple and Good Value
I bought these primarily to create a boot disk to install Linux onto an old computer. They were good value for the price and the size for a one time writeable disk is helpful. Like most DVDs, it's best to keep them in a case. It was easy to write with a fine Sharpie to record what is stored on the disk. As they are single write disks, it's best for things like home movies or other things you won't need to write over. I didn't check the actual read and write speed, but I certainly can say running an operating system off of this would be slower than a USB or hard drive. Overall, they are effective at allowing for burning data onto the disks and readability from the disks. As with everything, if you have important files, make sure you have more than one backup.

They're good (when the work).
I've used these for years, and they usually work fine. But recently I do seem to be getting an increasing amount of duds that just won't be recorded on, for no particular reason, within each new batch. It's frustrating.

Terrible for data storage, great for mini frisbees.
These are the WORST dual layer DVDs I have ever tried to use, absolutely not worthy of the Verbatim name, with over a 90% failure rate, mostly failing verification of the second layer after burn, this has been tested and confirmed on 2 separate computers, and 3 different burners, avoid these discs if you don't want to keep making coasters.
