Well made and Comfortable shoes
I purchased these running on a whim, as had £20 left over on a voucher.I wanted a newer pair of shoes, as I do a lot of city walking in Edinburgh, where I live and my present small selection of walking/ hiking/ running shoes/boots are coming up for replacement soon.Being 6ft / size 11 feet I tend to replace my footwear yearly as they get a good ole pounding. When I collected from my local locker, my new shoes, I was initially shocked, as the package was so lightweight!?Opening up and inspecting the shoes I was a bit skeptical....However, I can report they are extremely well made, have better than average grip and foot support. As they're used for my version of power walking, rather than actual running and on cycle paths etc they I imagine will last for a reasonable time. They obviously aren't waterproof but should survive light splashes and dry out easily.I'll use my insoles for a little extra protection but that's just my preference. So all in all, in my opinion, someone who does atound 1200 kms a year of country/city - cycle path walking, with a heavy backpack, these shoes are for me a bargain and great value!👍🙂

Looks Smart
The show is VERY much lighter than what I've been wearing - which was rather the point: So "Tick" for that.I don't know if they are meant to be or if they are 'waterproof' but I walk anywhere so little now, that you wonder why I mention it, but in case that's what you were hoping for, I don't think they're built for those conditions.BOY are the laces bright! And the matching trim. If you've "Muppet" socks, the colour is like the 'Beaker' blue!I'd have liked them to be a slimmer-fit but this I can get with tightened laces. Oh, and they weren't dear - so, what was I expecting, anyway! They are comfy. And they 'do what it says on the tin', so it is a 'tick for: Functionality and ease of use. I doubt if they'd need cleaning - as I don't think they are built for that terrain!Size was correct.

Outsole thin and vulnerable to piercing, collar can be deformed easily, average quality generally
I bought this trainer intending to use it as a cheap and cheerful set to do chores and use to go between the inside and outside of the house where slippers wouldn't really be appropriate. I was not expecting much from them, and to be honest they didn't exceed my expectations. The two main issues I have with them is that the outsole, whilst adequate, is vulnerable to piercing by pretty much anything. If you walk gravel you will feel it through the material, it is sortof like you're walking on perhaps 3 or 4 layered insoles. I did some work in the garden and stepped on the branch of a bramble which went straight through the outsole and into my foot.Secondly, the back of the trainer (collar) is vulnerable to getting deformed if the ball of your foot makes contact with it when you put your foot inside. I managed to deform the internal material of the collar within 24 hours of receiving them, simply by trying to slip my foot inside while it was already done up (but not tightly). Consequently, the material has been pushed down the back of the trainer, and now presses into the back of my ankle, with the actual outer material of the collar having no integrity anymore. I was very disappointed in this.In terms of using them for exercise, the lack of cushioning in the outsole would mean you'd feel every impact if using a treadmill, for example. Also although the trainers look like they are breathable, they're are not and wearing them for extended periods leaves your feet "smothered". I can only imagine this would be exacerbated if you tried to use them for exercise. All in all, ok for using around the house and for basic chores, but don't expect much else from them.

Not fit for purpose
Not fit for purpose. Soles wore away super quick! Heal piece broke away within 2 months. Then holes to the ball region of foot at 5 months of light wear. No running in these, so how they would stand up to running I don't know. Definitely wouldn't recommend

Comfortable and lightweight
Probably the the most comfortable and lightweight shoes I’ve ever owned. I wear them whenever I can. I also like the extra bit of colour. The quality is surprisingly good. On the downside the soles are quite thin and it’s can be uncomfortable walking on rough stony ground. I wouldn’t recommend them for jogging as perhaps not enough support. Great for the price and I’m definitely considering another pair when these expire.
