Easy to install and reliable. I don't use it for gaming but for CAD it is fine.

I bought one of these cards in 2019 when the video output on my ASUS motherboard gave up on me. It has worked fine since then driving two monitors. I have just built a new PC and had problems with the MSI motherboard video output and so installed this video card and it has worked perfectly well. For the cost of the card I think they are good value for moneyI don't do gaming so can't comment on how good the card is for that but for CAD work (Fusion 360) it is fine driving a couple of 27" monitors running at 1929 x 1080.

Good replacement for older cards to suit latest monitors

I got a super wide monitor recently 3440 x 1440 pixel resolution which my old graphic card couldn't manage, max was circa 2500 wide. Got this card as a replacement, and it worked nicely, less bulky than the old one, no fan so less noise, booted up immediately with the new monitor to the correct 3440 x 1440 resolution once I had installed the driver from the Cd supplied. Very nice sharp image, using HDMI. I use this for work, not games, so can't comment on 3D rendering at speed, but for business use, excellent and economical, great upgrade for older cards. Recommended.

A basic level, good value, low profile graphics card

A basic level, good value, low profile graphics card that's not going to be up to the standards of serious gamers, but one that has Windows 10 support and drivers and will do a great job for the average user. It's a small card, fitting a single slot in PCs with limited space as it has no huge heat-sink fans etc. The D-Sub output can be removed and a replacement ultra low profile bracket can be added to fit slimline PCs, leaving the HDMI and DVI outputs showing. Nicely, the card is supplied with 2 smaller brackets so no need for any additional purchases.Installation is simple (assuming you are OK opening up a PC) and it the card fits standard PCI-E slots and has no need of additional power cable connections. On re-booting the PC, the card is detected as a standard Windows graphics card and works perfectly (although you will need to reset screen definition settings etc) but auto-detect for me did not pick up the NVIDIA GT 710 signature. Using the Driver CD supplied in the box sorted that issue. The driver installation from the CD was fine (although you need to be careful to de-select the extra toolbars, anti-virus software and other stuff that it wants to add as default) although it appears to get "stuck" on 99% complete for what seems like ages and drivers don't install if you assume it's hung up and you quit too soon.Overall: a recommended value card for slimline PCs in particular, not massively powerful by today's standards, but great for the average user and up to date enough to be Windows 10 supported.

A modern day card for a 10 year old Sony Vaio VGC-RC204 desktop.

Firstly, let me start by saying that by 2016 technology standards this graphics card will not amongst the best for gaming nor will it do everything a £200 graphics card will. I did a lot of research before buying this card which was to replace a GeForce GT7600 in an aging Sony Vaio Desktop Model VGC-RC204. I had an intermittent fault which would sometimes result in the PC not booting but, since upgrading to Windows 10 it hasn’t failed to boot but, has instead had to restart after experiencing an issue. The PC is running windows 10 (it’s been upgraded along the way from XP Pro) with a Pentium D chip 3.2GHz running at 3200MHz, I had specific requirements which were1. It needed to be low profile and quite thin as there wasn’t much room where the existing card is.2. It had to be PCI-E 2.0 or PCI Express or PCI-E x16 – they are all the same thing!3. It had to be an improvement on the GT7600 as I wasn’t going to fork out £34.98 for something that was worse than I already had.4. It needed to be a reasonable price as the desktop is nearly 10 years old and I didn’t want to throw lots of money at it.5. It needed to be quite low power consumption ideally less than 35W as the PSU is 300W and the old GT7600 was rated at 35W so I didn’t want to fry my motherboard.6. I wanted new rather than take this risk of a second hand card that had a better specification. So I worked backwards from the GeForce website making comparisons on the basic cards for all the above points. I then went to a benchmark site to compare the old and new and what sort of improvement I might see. The GT 7600 had a benchmark score of 165 and the GT 710 scored 647 a vast improvement although the GTX 970 is 8660! Don’t get me wrong this is no GTX970 as it’s a fraction of the price. I benchmarked the desktop before and after the install with the previous card scoring 53 on and the new one scoring 77 from NovaBench telling me that 3D frames per second had increased from 176 to 246. As I don’t use the card for gaming I haven’t noticed any real difference except I now have a more stable PC which doesn’t crash as frequently as it used to. Other reviewers asked why you would buy this card. Well the simple answer is that you might be replacing a graphics card in a 10 year old PC and are restricted by size, power consumption, PCI-E 2.0 or price and therefore your options are much more limited. The card was easy to install for me with limited PC expertise. It comes with Low Profile brackets a quick set up guide and drivers disc. I installed the drivers direct from NVidia before install ensuring I had the right version for Windows 10 32 Bit. The only issue I experienced was that Windows was installing the drivers automatically via the wizard so this had to finish before the NVidia driver software would upload. Although this has HDMI and DVI-D outs I had to use the VGA as the desktop is hooked up to an equally old Sony Bravia 26” TV and the HDMI connection resulted in a worse picture than the VGA. Sadly the TV is only designed to connect to a PC via VGA according to the manual. All in all this had enabled my beloved desktop to carry on its day to day tasks at a reasonable cost so I’m more than happy. I will post an update if I experience any reliability issues.
