Excellent product and good value for money
I ordered this a couple of weeks ago but only got round to using it yesterday. After reading other reviews I was a bit worried that the adapters might get stuck in the spark plug holes but that wasn't a problem for me, I just made sure I screwed them on to the flexible hose tightly (by hand ofcourse) and had no issues. It was very easy to use and the gauge is easy to read, it feels like it is made from good quility material. I had no trouble putting it together and the carry case is really useful. However I would advise looking on youtube for instructions as there are easier ways of doing the test. Excellent piece of equipment to have and saved me spending £40 to get it done at a garage.

A good product, especially at the price.
A useful design with a range of adapters and two push-on extentions, in a decent plastic box. Used it on both a car and small motorcycle engine, and, as far as I could tell, gave reasonably accurate readings- at least good enough to detect a worn bore or rings. A little tricky to reach plugs which are deeply recessed, but that is what the extention tubes are for. Minor point, the dial fits directly onto the extentions and does not use the flexible tube, which can make getting it down the plug recesses a bit fiddly. Overall a decent bit of kit for occasional use. (Obviously for petrol engine only)

Good indicator, but note adapter hex size!
I used it to check the compression on 4 cylinders to see if there was a loss of compression in one of them. This meant I wasn’t overly concerned with how accurate the dial was, rather than it reading consistently. I got roughly 120 PSI on all 4 which was enough for me to confirm there wasn’t any loss. I’m not sure if a “proper” tester would have given an “accurate” higher reading given that the car is allegedly to be around 170 PSI (however, it is 16 years old now, so the ~120 PSI may be accurate). The different size adapters are good, however be aware that the sizes of each don’t account for the hex portion, so if it’s down a tight recess, it might not fit. For example, with the 14mm adapter, the A/F portion of the hex measures ~19mm, and the A/C portion of the hex measures ~21.6mm. this meant I had to file off the corners for it to fit down the recess I needed it in. This hex size is the same for all 4 adapters.Admittedly, I could have used the rubber sealing adapters over the recess, but I wanted right onto the spark plug thread. For me, it’s a useful piece of kit that gave good indication of cylinder compression for a cheap price. It will be handy keeping it on a shelf until it’s needed on another car, and the different adapters should mean it will handle that with no problems.

Accurate time and time again. Good value.
Works well.Used it to diagnose headgasket failure. Accurately and repeatedly gave readings for each cylinder. Its worth the money and its no different from the next price bracket up that is available. Pleased with the purchase. Its no more fiddly than any other in the price range too.Its actually very simple and quick. Not sure why people have given it 1 star but I reccomend it.

Excellent purchase from Bamford Trading
The rubber bungs make this really easy to use and is suitable for motorcycles. The quality is excellent and is what I have come to expect from Sealey equipment. I bought this at half price but it would have been a bargain at the full price in my opinion.

Very useful for checking mechanical health of engine without serious dismantling
Tester is easy to use, but need to tighten adapter onto flexible hose before screwing into plug holes (otherwise can be difficult to retrieve from deeply-pocketed holes). Can't comment on accuracy (as I've no means of otherwise checking) but it did pinpoint cylinder with burnt valve easily, & other readings were consistent

Totally inaccurate readings
Ordered this to test a used car I bought recently that was pulling well in high revs but struggling down low. When I opened it I was quite happy with it, it seemed like a quality peace of kit for the low asking price.Didn't really think the car had a compression problem but wanted to check for peace of mind. Ran the test twice, both times following the official service guide to the letter (warm engine, all plugs out, fuel relay removed etc). Results came back 110 on all cylinders (should be around 170's). This put me into panic mode thinking the car was a lemon and needed major engine work.I took the car to a garage to do a compression test to verify the results and perform a leak down test if necessary. The leak down wasn't necessary after all as the mechanics compression test came back 165 on all cylinders. As such this is being returned, and I advise anyone who gets less than optimal results using this tester to have the results confirmed by a garage before they make any rash decisions!I guess you get what you pay for!

Veramente utile.
Se i motorini dagli utensili da giardinaggi ti fanno impazzire ad avviarsi, ti informa che li puoi rottamare, ho sentire un meccanico quanto costa la riparazione.
