YO-YO Automatic Mechanical Fishing Reel YoYo

Ordered 2, one of which became jammed and lost some spring tension after fixing.They're satisfying, simple to use mechanical reels.

I finally got to use them, these are a very useful addition to anyone's kit. I don't give 4*s often, but these earned it, however I was not 100% happy with them to start with, but after a couple of very minor changes these may end up with 5*s. I drilled the string hole a little bigger, fitted a "grommet" and changed the string for a strand of "Paracord", this made for a better and stronger fix to the tree I was using, and their was no sharp edge rubbing against the cord. The "Grommet" cost a few penny's, and the cord came from a piece that had seen better days. I still can't "Walk the dog" or go "Round the World", but I did catch some fish

I bought one of these not really knowing what to expect. Fell for it the moment it arrived and after setting it up how I wanted ( I won't bore with the details ) I couldn't wait to use it. I went down to my local trout stream, you know the ones I'm on about, the ones where strictly speaking the owner would rather I wasn't droping a line. So armed with a pot of wormies I set my Yo Yo in the bank and wandered off in a suitability innocent fashion. When I returned it had tripped and I had a lovely little brownie of about 3/4s of a lb. Wandered homeward very satisfied.Get one or two is my advice gents! And if any ladies are reading this get one for you hubby or son. I am sure they will wash up for a week without being asked after you do!

Seems to be very well made, as well as being a very good idea. I have seen the demonstration vids on you tube and agree that some modification may well be in order, hence only four stars. I have no idea of the braking strain of the line included, which I do not like, nor do I like the quality of the knots. I will amend probably after testing.

But its a total beast when your tippet gets anonymously randomly and unexpectedly caught in the Dyson, making for a very springy and bizarre mess in which situation the yoyo remains unscratched. Complacent in fact. The Dyson belt was broken, smoking and stinking like a drag race of rubber.Ain't actually tried fishing with it because I kept forgetting that I had it (I fly fish y'see) and therefore can't comment on how fast or what size wiggler it can handle. But it can handle a Dyson, and that was impressive!

Excellent item, v fast delivery but at an average price.

Good back up plan for wild camping. Reel has a good snap to it. Added some paracord and a toggle for tying it off.
