Well worth the addition
As others have stated this is a foam cover. However, it is very sturdy, my child has dropped her tablet several times in addition to pushing it off a few surfaces in frustration. The tablet is in tact and you can hear that this diminishes impact. Do not be deterred by the fact that it is foam, it is well made and does exactly what it is supposed to do.The little "legs" work well and is one reason I chose this model over other similar ones based on previous reviews. My daughter carries her tablet everywhere she goes and loves that it has a handle. I love that I can get her headphones inside the jack with this on. As others have stated, due to the thickness of the foam it can be difficult to use the buttons on the side for adult fingers depending on the angle. It works perfectly for little fingers though and my four year old has no problems reaching the buttons.Overall, this was a great buy at a great price compared to a lot of the other options out there. I got this for the Kindle Fire HD 8 2017 version.

Grateful - This case saved the Amazon Fire HD from the stairs
I am in awe at how durable and protective this case is. My sweet little cherub of a daughter grew impatient with my less than immediate technical support response to her media viewing difficulties. With extreme displeasure, she launched the Amazon Fire HD down the basement steps (unfinished wooden stairs with a cement floor landing).This case completely protected the Amazon Fire HD, as there was no damage, scratches, or anything noticeable.

Blocks speakers
The tablet fits snugly, but my 3 star rating is for the fact that it blocks the speakers which muffles all sound understandably.

I’m not colorblind - I just can’t read
The image LOOKED like YELLOW and I never saw the print: ORANGE! Oh well, will keep. Seller - use my picture since yours looks like lemon yellow 🙄

Seriously the best case I've ever had for a tablet
Seriously the best case I've ever had for a tablet. My 2 year old daughter got a Fire tablet for Christmas and I purchased this case because the one that came with the tablet (for kids) didnt look sturdy or protective (looking just a pictures) so I ordered an extra case. This thing is the BEST! My daughter had it while sitting in the child seat of a store cart and dropped it my first thought was well there goes the new tablet but this thing seriously BOUNCED OFF THE GROUND LIKE A BOUNCY BALL and the tablet was UNHARMED!! Another thing I absolutely love is that it has the legs to prop it up (best thing ever for a 2 year old wanting to watch her show at a restaurant) seriously a life saver!

Nice case but muffles the sound.
I’ve had the case for a few weeks now. It is holding up pretty well, though the fold out stand tabs don’t seem super durable. I am the one setting them up most times so for now they are doing okay. The case is super light and the handle is nice for carrying it. The biggest issue is how much it muffles the sound. It really cuts down the volume of the tablet making it difficult to hear even on full volume.

Best case for kids...in my non-expert opinion
This case is perfect for little ones. We finally broke down and bought our son a tablet for Christmas. He has dropped said tablet no less than 1000 times since then, but this case has proven worthy. It's not quite foam, but not rubber either. Feels like an amazing combo of the two. I'm not an expert but I'd totally purchase again if the need would ever arise. I also love the legs in the back that make it stand up for him, plus the heavy duty handle for carrying. All around the best case in my opinion!!

Pleasantly surprised
Bought this case because it seemed kid friendly and sturdy. When I received it I was disappointed because it seemed cheaply made and flimsy, and was not at all what I expected. But, I opted to give it a try and I have to say I was surprised at how well it works and how it has protected the tablet for a few months. Our kids love it, it is sturdier than I thought it would be, and although our 3, 6 and 8-year-olds are not particularly rough and know how to handle electronics, this case has held up well. Good value!

Great case overall, could be a bit smaller ....
Although yes it provides protection...this case is a bit big. Company was very friendly and easy to deal with after the miscommunication.
