A 3C curl friend recommended this product after I begged her for info on what she was using to achieve coily curls so splendidly. This product is affordable, the scent is not overwhelming - but is pleasant, WORKS, and I use it with one other product. It's FANTASTIC. I've used almost everything on the market. It does leave your hair with a slight crunch, but you can easily grip the hair to create some softness without loosing the curls.

Through the years, I have tried many products - wet, dry, scrunch, revitalize, serum, define. Whatever - it all seemed to lead to more and more and more products on my hair. I finally got discouraged and ordered this Recoil. Tried it, then happily got to toss everything else in the trash. This works great without any fanfare and by itself. I put it on wet then loosen the curls a bit. It encourages and defines curls, dries a bit crunchy and separated. When I want a softer look, it's easy to run my fingers through the curls and get that without frizz. Curls do not droop, and if I don't use too much, they look separated but not "greasy/dirty hair" looking.

I have been using this for years, when my hair is long , I get waves , when it is short I get curls waves or even a beachy hair look. I use very little product and apply it to damp hair. I then either clip my hair intoSmall twisted sections on my head or squeeze my hair to create waves. I can also create a bit of curl.I suggest you experiment with the amount, the dryness / dampness and if you want it on the ends of your hair or spread through out. It is a versatile product for a natural look. The BEST feature isIt is re - workable. During the day if you can refresh your hair with damp hands? It perks right back up.As this is not a drying gel or hair fix , this is a fabulous feature for long days at events. It remains softBouncy and easy to style. Over application can be sticky but it is easily corrected as it is water soluble .

My new favorite curl cream! I love the cast that it provides initially, and the hold that it has for several days. My curly hair doesn’t get frizzy, and that’s absolutely amazing. Highly recommend!

The results on a fine curly hair are not that great for the price of the product. I get more bouncy curls using another product (shea base). The other downside side is that I see more tangled hair when using this product.By the way, this is in south Florida weather.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:If you want defined curls this is the way to go!
