We like this book for Reading comprehension. My granddaughter will use this to get her ready for 5th grade because she has finished her 4th grade studies with FLVS and will start preparing for 5th grade.with E Learning and other Math books from Amazon. This book will definitely help!!!!

When my daughter was in 4th grade she had a hard time reading a story and breaking it down. During the summer I brought her the book to practice and she is doing much better. I definitely recommend getting spectrum workbooks.

Well written did standard book

This is a great series of stories followed by comprehension questions. The stories are a variety of fiction and mon fiction and the questions also include a variety of higher level thinking skills

I love these books to help kids work on reading skills. Used them for my older child and now going through them with my youngest. They helped both of them a lot and arent too expensive.

I purchased this book for my daughter who was lagging slightly behind in reading for her grade level. She read 3 passages each week and completed the corresponding questions. After doing this for several months, she scored at the Master’s Level on the state standardized test (meaning she scored above her grade level). I highly recommend these reading and math workbooks! They really work if you’re consistent in using them. Don’t forget to tear the answer key out in the back so they can’t peek at the answers.

I love Spectrum books in Reading and Science. I've been using them with my kids for 5 years now and there is so much progress in their reading skills. Highly recommended for anyone who is looking for something to upgrade his/her kids reading and comprehension levels. Your kid maybe find it hard in the begining, however he/she is going to use to it. That's what happened with my kids.

brilliant systematic learning tool - the best in the market.

Spectrum are the best books for language out there. They follow standards and structure that Canadian books luck. Note, that this book is only for reading comprehension. There are separate books for Writing and Grammar (Language arts). I disagree with the previous comments that it’s not suitable for special needs kids. I used it for my gifted child and another one with Autism. It worked for both! I recommend this book for anyone, it’s the best.

Helpful for reading comprehension. Lots of short passages and questions which are interesting and challenging. Enjoying this a lot.

Books look good to use as teaching materials. However, packaging could do some work, I didn't appreciate my brand new book to have folded pages before I even used it.

Don't do it. So boring and painful. I'm an adult and found the stories so awful I could t stay focused. My ten year old ADHD son didn't stand a chance. Pick a book series your kid enjoys and make your own reading comprehension curriculum from that.
