The Jetsons: Season Two, Volume Two (3 Discs)

I enjoyed the Jetsons as a child. As an adult, I still enjoy it. I wanted to share the experience with my grandkids. Found and bought the complete 3 season series, and the 2 movies featuring The Jetsons (+the Flintstones in one of them). I also bought the Flintstones series too, to add two my collection of old time favorites. It has been fun watching these shows again on those rainy days we had while RV camping this summer, this week.

Fun episodes of the Jetsons, just as much fun as ever and wholesome entertainment for everyone with nothing evil and ugly anywhere. No ugly drawings as everything they produce for Saturday cartoons are now! DVD was in excellent condition and was a very satisfactory transaction with fair prices.

I grew up with the Jetsons and decided to give my kids something "new" to consider. They love this series and, along with the Flintstones, demand it in the car, at home, everywhere. Good old fashion cartoons are a good alternative the current mediocre stuff on CartoonNetwork. This set is well packaged and the production well done, just like the first time I saw them. Sound quality and picture quality are great.

Although a custom-made Warner Archive release, this set represents the rest of the 1980's continuation of the Jetsons, which has been absent from home video since their 1980's TV release. Hanna-Barbera made these cartons in the 1980's, in the style of animation used on the original Jetsons episodes of the 1960's, to make the series feel consistent. And the stories are good as well.

The newer cations are good but not as good as the original 1st season.

LOVE THE JETSON HASN'T HAD A CHANCE TO WATCH IT

Animaed or live, I love classic cartoons & movies/telivisson shows. A variety of things on The Jetsons resemble things we now have. Elroys hat has (what appears to be an antena). Thar resembles todays cell phone. Instead of a telephone, they had a video-phone. Now computers have web-cams, which are a simmilar idea.

What can I say they're DVDs of a cartoon I watched when I was a kid they play there's no flaws there's no problems that's good

'The Jetsons.' was my favourite cartoon Show when I was a kid and even now, in my nostalgia-inclined mid-fifties, I still love it.In 2024, this age of 4K HDR blu ray, it has to be said that the video on this 'The Jetsons.' Season 2 Vol.2 DVD set isn't great. It's rather fuzzy and many outlines around characters have what might be termed 'Ghosting' - like an old Cathode Ray Tube TV that isn't tuned in to the TV station properly.However there's no visual damage to be seen on any of the episodes, the colours are pretty good and the 2-Channel left-right Stereo separation of the audio is so impressive that it almost makes up for the so-so image quality. It really does sound quite dynamic!Sadly Seasons 2 & 3 of 'The Jetsons.' from 1985 and 1987 respectively were recorded on videotape rather than Celluloid Film stock as Season 1 was in the early '60s, and according to Warner Bros (who I emailed about the issue), this means that the technology to bring Seasons 2 & 3 up to High Definition resolution and release them on blu ray doesn't yet exist.So for the time being we fans of 'The Jetsons.' have to be content with DVD. Still; at least we have them on disc and all things considered, they could look a lot worse.Fingers crossed that one day soon someone will invent the technology to take images recorded on standard definition videotape and turn it into high definition so that Seasons 2 & 3 can be released on blu ray in HD like Season 1 has been.Still; at least the Movie 'The Jetsons Meet The Flintstones.' has now been released on blu ray as well as Season 1.For fans of 'The Jetsons.' who happen to be hearing-impaired there's some very bad news. Unlike Seasons 1 & 2 this set has absolutely no subtitles.I think it's absolutely inexcusable of Warner Bros not to have put any subtitles options on this set when they released it in 2014. Shame on you, Warner Bros.However that aside; all things considered I still recommend this 'The Jetsons.' Season 2 Vol.2 DVD set. I've given it 4 stars purely for the wonderful entertainment value.
