GHG Hidden RFID Drawer Lock kit RFID Card/Wristband Entry

I am really impressed with the functionality of this unit. I installed it on a 6' garage cabinet door that is 3/4" thick MDF. I installed the RIFD locking mechanism flat on the inside of the door, and I had to make a wooden bracket to screw the locking post to on the inside top of the cabinet. Getting the two pieces to line up correctly took a bit of effort, there isn't much play in the mechanism, but once I got it lined up, it works flawlessly. A little tip, use double stick tape on both parts to get them lined up perfectly before you screw them in.Programming the lock and figuring out the correct lock setting was easy enough. My only complaint is the unit has two settings, private and public (or something like that). Public will unlock the door when swiped, then leave the lock in the open position until you swipe again so the door can be opened and closed repeatedly without locking. Private will unlock on swipe, then automatically re-lock so when the cabinet door is closed, it is now locked. I want to use the private setting BUT once the door is unlocked and open, there is an annoying 5 second beep that repeats every 10 seconds to let you know the door is open. There is nothing in the instructions about this beep or how to mute it, so I have to use the public setting and remember to relock the door each time I close it.

This lock works great!During the initial set up, I programmed the lock to Private Mode. The third step of the Private Mode programming instructions stated to press button three until you hear one beep. On my lock, I had to press button three until I heard two beeps in order to get the Private Mode enabled. Wasn’t a big deal. Just make sure you program your Manage and Delete cards before programming the Private Mode. Then proceed with adding your user cards. The seller was very quick to respond when contacted. I am very pleased. I would purchase this again in the future. Thank you.

This lock works as advertised. However the individual who made the hidden drawer did make the thickness at the max rating 1.5 and at first I thought it didn’t work, panicked and called the company. Wow what customer service. They chose to send me a replacement lock despite the fact I found a work around by removing some of the material. Not only that they wrote back asking for feedback on how things were working. Never encountered that before. The lock does exactly what they said it would do and I got directions that were clear but I turned to the YouTube video and you couldn’t ask for better directions (the directions that came with the lock directed me to the YouTube video). I want to have another hidden space done just because how great the lock works. I do need to send a shout out to my builder Carl who really knows how to build. Next time I will coordinate with him on the thickness of the wood in case I want to use the wrist band

This is a great idea, the only downside to this is you can't use it with a metal drawer of any kind. I purchased it for work and all we have here are metal cabinets and drawers for our desks. It's works great other than that, I tested it through about 1-1/4" of wood and it does still unlock.

I have had this product for a year and it has worked and not work, roughly the same amount of time. I am dissappointed because it randomly will quit reading the entry cards and you will have to redo the card autorizations. Currently i have three of these and two if them are acting up and i can't get to my master cards to resync them. In addition to the randomness of the devices losing their memory, the cards only work if there is a barrier that is less than a 1/2" of thickness. With the bracelet, is it onky about 1/4".

Instructions included were very easy to follow. There were no steps to follow on mounting but its pretty straight forward. Quick responses when reaching out to company. I used it on an office drawer and works great. I'm about to order another one.

there is a port available but I am not sure what for. I suspect you could use it to attach the device to a power source or maybe even a remote reader. but I do not have the eequioemnt to confirm, It would be nice if it came with further instruction/expalantion.

I ordered this lock for a concealable gun shelf that I made l my dad for Christmas. It works great and the instructions are pretty straight forward. Dad had an issue with it not unlocking and come to find out, he had accidentally swiped his delete card instead of the user card and it deactivated the user cards with the shelf in locked position. I reached out to GHG on how to get back into it and they responded literally within minutes. Problem solved and the shelf is open and cards reactivated. I would absolutely recommend this RFID lock from GHG.

The media could not be loaded.  I have used this lock for my shoe rack outside my house i have only fixed the lock myself on my own. It was not that difficult but it was tricky to match the distance. I hope the vendor sends a placeholder paper for easy installation. Uploading a video of how i made the extra keys ordered these keys from the vendor only. For spare keys.
