The reel is fine. A little noisy
This is an "unboxing" review. The reel is fine. A little noisy, and internals look a bit cheap in places. The externals -the graphite looking weave materials- are simply cosmetic. Stem could be a bit longer as rotor can rap knuckles although my hands are not overly large. I'll make good use of it. Hope it stays pretty after a few years of fishing.

Smooth, very smooth and well made
Fantastic reel. Very smooth. I have fished for a living for many years, both guiding and tournament fishing. I have used reels that cost 10 times what this one cost and I now,have several,of these Ardent reels on my rods because they are fantastic. Give one a try and I bet you buy more. I did
