This thing is HUGE!
Check out the image gallery! It explains some things I say in this review. If you're a fan of the newer, more complex mobile suit designs of modern Gundam, this kit may not be your style. The model's appearance is essentially a posable building; just flat surfaces, not much color differentiation. No interesting angles or anything like that. However, I love this model kit. I love the simplicity and blockiness of it. I love that it's HUGE. About the size...I'd describe it as a Leader-Class Transformer if you have any of those. It towers over my High Grade kits, and even my Master Grade kits! My High Grade Sinanju (already a tall kit) is four heads SHORTER than this guy! If you gauge a kit's value from its size, you're getting your money's worth with this monster. Despite its humongous size, this thing is very articulated! Your standard Gundam posability, plus individually articulated fingers (like a Perfect Grade). However, there's no waist articulation, but that's due to the transformation. Oh yeah, IT TRANSFORMS. The transformation is fortunately quick and simple (but fun!), and it doesn't have the stability issues associated with most transformable gunpla. The Mobile Fortress mode is great looking; just a solid chunk of Hong Kong-destroying awesome. However, the legs DO have a tendency to mistransform due to faulty connections, but it's not too big of a deal. One of the only (somewhat) major issues I could think of are the lack of accessories. True, it's accurate to the show (Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam), but wouldn't it be cool if the suit had a massive beam saber to go along with its shield? And about the shield...it's pretty plain. Now an advanced customizer could go in and add panel lines or something, but out of the box it's literally two giant chunks of plain plastic stuck together. And speaking of plain, this model kit is not very detailed; there are minimal panel lines and only a few color accents. Personally I don't mind, but some people may find it troublesome that a model kit so HUGE looks more cartoony and toy-like compared to a tiny Real Grade. Another issue I have with this kit (and most High Grade kits in general) are the abundance of stickers/seals. They provide the yellow accents and the eyes. However, the seals on this kit should have no problem going on the flat, blocky surfaces of this kit. Despite the amount of seals, there are no seals for the head cameras! You'll have to paint those (or not, your choice). And if you are bothered by stickers in general (like me), just paint the parts instead of putting the stickers on (like me!). I should mention the building process. It was fun, but be prepared to work! There are a lot of pieces, but the build is not too frustrating. Just follow the instructions carefully, or you might end up breaking something. I broke a clip-on part on the backpack (though I just feel nervous around clip-on parts in general); easily fixed with patience and super-glue. Also have a screwdriver handy; this kit actually comes with screws.Overall, this kit is awesome and you should get it...that is, if you don't mind the simple and cartoony nature of the design. And despite the issues I have with it, I can't hate it; not at all. To me, it compensates for its lack of detail with just its HUGEness (though that might be an issue for some; it's HUGEness makes its lack of detail more noticeable). You should DEFINITELY get this kit if you like the Zeta Gundam show. DO IT FOR FOUR!!

Reliable seller, great product
This thing is HUGE! My 12-year-old knocks out all the Gundam model kits so quickly, but this one took his over 8 hours over the course of several days - which I loved bc it kept him busy and off technology. Its massive next to the other Gundam model kits & its sturdy, not missing a single piece. I felt the price was overall very fair considering the prices of other seller options.

An impressive and surprisingly easy model to assemble if you bought the tool kit.
This is definitely the biggest Gundam Model I have completed as it is about twice as big as a normal 1/144 Gundam model, appropriately. It's about as big as this old Tidal Wave Transformer I got back in the early 2000s for Transformers Armada and about as solid also. Now, like any Gundam model kit, you really should buy a model tool kit to assemble it, if you haven't already. That's a slight pain in the butt, but not by much. For most of the Gundam models I have already assembled, I just needed the clipper/pliers from the model kit, but for Psycho Gundam, you need the little Phillips Screwdriver as there are several parts requiring very tiny screws in the assembly...fortunately, they are provided in the set in a nice little bag. Since I bought the tool kit back in early 2015, it's not really an issue for me, though. It took me a while to read the instructions, which are like a large Lego Set in the form of a big book of instructions, but they are very easy to understand as there are tons of detailed pictures to explain the assembly to those who don't read and speak Japanese. The assembly took me a couple of days to put Psycho Gundam together fully, but believe me it is worth it as this big guy is a crowning achievement for my Gundam Model Collection. If you got the cash to buy this big guy, I highly recommend buying him as he is totally worth it.

Great product
I have been buying these models for my son for over 23 years. He loves these model and I have seen some his finished work since he was 10. The finished models are absolutely awesome looking. As he has aged since then his finished models have now become amazing. The models are made of high quality material and each one is quite unique and different from the others. Great product, will continue purchasing in the future. Very satisfied with this purchase.

BIG MODEL for 1/144 High Grade
When fully built you'll think you bought a 1/100 MG model. Certain details are naturally lacking, for example the bottom front torso thruster unit is red in the box but black on the model. The legs are flimsy and hard to pose without the model losing balance. Easiest way to display is in mobile armor mode.

PG size, HG ease of build
Bought this for my nephews 5th birthday, him and my sister built it in under six hours. Even though its HGUC 1/144 scale, the finished product stands twice as tall as all of the other high grade kits. He loves Gundam, he loves Transformers, so I thought he'd go nuts over this, but my sister said he hasn't "transformed" it yet because he loves it just the way it is.

After assembly, Psycho Gundam instantly transformed my collection, excellent standout centerpiece.
Huge and looks killer on the shelf, this dude needs no weapons besides his fist and his stare. The size of a PG and 1/4 the price. If you dig the classic Gundam style this belongs in your display.

It's big that's about the only thing it has going for it. It feels very cheap .The detail isn't that great and I think that they could have done a better job with the actual kit itself and not used yellow decals for some of the details. They could easily have been molded in yellow. So for the money this thing costs I do not recommend it.

piacevolmente ingombrante
