Great Book
I got this book because I wanted to know why I felt and acted like I did at times. As another poster said, the first chapter didn't catch me but I kept reading and I certainly had several aha moments. I learned a great deal from the rest of the chapters. I just read it yesterday in about 5 hours, easy read. I am looking forward to writing the letters and getting some much needed underlying anger and resentment I didn't realize I had out. Great book!

This book has made a difference in my self understanding!
Have you ever wondered where the anger in your life came from? It has roots in our upbringing. This book explores how our childhood experiences affect our adult maturity. The authors give examples from their own experience showing how dysfunctional we can become if we don't address these problems from our childhood. It doesn't blame our parents, but shows how they were doing the best they could with what they knew. It is a very good read and can bring much needed change in your life if you will embrace it.

Poor Upbringing? Great Book!
As a pastor, I have used this book with people who grew up in a negative home environment to help deal with issues that must be faced to break the cycle of how people should relate to each other. This is one of the best resources I have found.

In this book the Rockeys have provided knowledge and understanding of the pain in our past as well as a spiritual base for healing life long hurts. It is a book to keep and give copies to others who are suffering.

REJECTION IS ONLY ON YOUR MIND
In this book, the root of rejection are properly depicted is a useful manner, to deliver us from the feeling of rejection, which ultimately is only in our mind. There are circumstances, but the ONE who is important to us, have never rejected us. Ant this is thoroughly described in the book.
