This works lovely and is great for drying clothes!We usually have it in the bathroom which gets very humid when the shower is usedThe water tank fills steadily but is easy to remove... though it can be awkward tipping the water out into the sink as it just pours out of the corner holesThe unit is quite heavy to lift but pushes around easily on its wheelsWe have a clothes airer with it and its amazing how quickly clothes dry despite having no additional heat applied...This defo cuts down on electricity costs instead of using the tumble dryerIt sits humming away, but its not a loud noise - still, i wouldn't want it in my bedroom with me over night as I like the quiet... though I'm sure you'd get used to it!The buttons are all easy to use and the menu is simple - we usually have it set on CO (continuous) on the humidity setting whilst drying clothes so it goes full whack all the timedefo recommend

In hardly do reviews, only bother when an item exceeds my expectations. Well, Meaco Arete 10 dehumidifier and air purifier did just that.Not only does it dehumidify brilliantly, it also purifies the air at the same time. The smart functionality helps to save electricity by switching device off and on when desired humidity level is attained or exceeded.Sound is relatively low compared to other dehumidifiers. However, don't expect it to be entirely unnoticeable, depending on its location around the house. You certainly can't sleep with it running, of you're a light sleeper.A strong point is its ability to dry clothes very quickly. It has a laundry function which is handy. Although I use the regular setting. A full laundry load gets dry in under 24hrs, absolutely splendid. It shuts off automatically when the bucket is full.I also noticed the Arete makes the room warmer by up to 4 degrees, depending on the external temperature. I bought this when the weather was still a bit warmer and noticed a considerable increase in room ambient temperature running the Arete. Now that outdoor temperature is around a max of 8 to 10 degrees, I think it raises ambient temperature by up to 2 degrees. My observation. One thing is certain, the removal of excess moisture from the atmosphere means you can heat your home up to temperature a lot quicker than otherwise, thereby saving on energy bills.Overall, I'd happily recommend the Meaco Arete or any good condenser humidifier. We have two at home, the second being the Argos Challenger. The Challenger being the first I bought. Had I known about the Arete beforehand, wouldn't have bought the Challenger. Nonetheless, it works well to, albeit without the smart functions. The Challenger runs until it's turned off or gets full. Also uses a bit more electricity compared to the Meaco Arete 10L.A good buy. If you're thinking about a dehumidifier, please go ahead and buy one. They're not cheap but a good one like the Arete is well worth every penny!

This is a wonderful product. It need to be running most of the time but we have dramatically reduced the condensation in our apartment. It fills up the reservoir in 24hrs and sounds an alarm to let you know it needs emptying.It also has a smart program where you can set the humidity target and it will stay on until it reaches the target. It will then go to sleep and check every 30 mins to see of it needs to be on a again.At night time it has a night time function where it drops lower to be quieter and the lights switch off. This is cracking as even the smallest amount of light gives the cats the zoomies.This has a really good filter to add and so purifies the air as well which means less sneezing for us.Overall is a superb product. It's design is such that it can be mounted on a wall and shaped to allow the air to be drawn in at the back.

Had it a couple of months. It does a good job. Wish it was quieter but for the price you know what you are getting.It's decent. I'd recommend.It's not WiFi, but you can set at 55 and it does a nice job, keeping the bedroom ambient, on and off. As for running costs, I don't look at the smart meters any more as it's more stressful than it's worth.

Meaco dehumidifier is the best for it's price range.The humidity sensor is a helpful innovation to enable you to track the progress of the dehumidifier. Some reviews have questioned it's accuracy but it seems consistent with an external sensor I have checked.It does a good job of removing humidity and has prevented mould and dampness in my basement flat. It is not quiet - I wouldn't sleep in a room with it on but for me this doesn't detract from the quality for me because it is unreasonable to expect a silent dehumidifier.It is intuitive to use with helpful laundry modes which runs the dehumidifier on full power. It is a cost effective way to dry clothes inside on a dryer which it does by keeping it running on high for a long period of time until it reaches target humidity.Useful other features include an optional HEPA filter to improve air quality. It would be helpful to have a sensor for this though. There are wheels for ease of movement and build quality is high overallIn short, a well built and stylishly designed humidifier with good water removal, helpful functionality and useful features

This thing is awesome! Not only does it dehumidify and purify the air, but it also does wonders with drying clothes. It has a very large tank (10L) which means you can leave it running all night with no issues, and it will auto shut off either when the tank is full or you can set it to turn off when the humidity reaches a certain level. Very happy with it, would definitely recommend
