I absolutely love mine!!!!
after researching and reading review about this and similar kayak stabilizers, and the price usually being near $250, I was REALLLLL hesitant to buy one. I bought one because of some night type activities I Will be using my kayak for. I was needing for stability and to give me confidence in standing on my kayak at 69yrs young. The main thing I read was how terrible the directions were and how once it was together it still wiggled alot!!! Well, Im here to tell you that both of those are simply not true if you have a bit of inventiveness in you. The directions..... open the directions, and then find you a youtube to follow step by step on how to do it. anything the youtuber leaves out, can be easily found or deciphered in the directions.next, stability. When I got mine up, first thing I did was wiggle it to see, yes, it had some wiggle. what the problem was/was there was a space between the inside edge of the conectors on your T rack and the male fitting that does inside it to be penned. to solve the problem, i simply got me some 3/4" stainless washers with a quarter inch hole and pressed it inbetween the connection. WORKED LIKE A CHARM.you can take it off the yak very quickly and stow away back in the bag, or while on the water, unpen the back to standards and lay the unit down on the front of the yak, snap them to the front legs and go back to fishing.IM SO GLAD I BOUGHT THESE.recently went fishing with a friend, he saw mine and basically said the same story of why he had not bought one. Im just going to let him try mine for a day, and he will soon be buying one too!! great invention, quality product in my opinon....

Sturdy
Not too hard to put together- typical poor yakattack instructions. But great addition to kayak. Not only for standing but also getting on and off. Easy collapse when fishing sitting down. Hope they sell extra pins as this is first thing to fall in water!

Feels like a quality product, however, there is still a good amount of movement once installed.
I bought this product to use as a standup bar on my canoe. The bars are completely configurable, making it easy to adjust to the width of my canoe. The hardware for installation is of good quality, and the plastic end caps and connectors all feel strong. That said, I think there is still a bit of side to side movement once the components are all installed, and there is no way to remove the play in between the connecting points. I’m worried that the play can weaken or crack the plastic end caps after continuous exposure to the sun.The instant “takedown” feature is really nice, as it allows me to drop the bar in order to cast net for bait when I spot them. It all breaks down into a carry bag as well, allowing you to secure it in the car.All in all, I’m very satisfied with the product. I would have given it a 5 star if it wasn’t for the play between connections points. For the price point, this should have been completely sturdy.

Not worth the 250
Instructions arnt very clear. For 250 it could have been put more together. Also, parts not worth the 250. Gonna get it on the water tomorrow. I think it’s gonna work but definitely not worth the 250.

This thing is awesome!
YakAttack never fails me, this product is amazing! Easy install and it takes seconds to deploy or put down out of the way when not using. I fly fish from my Kayak, this is a game changer for stand up fishing in my Sea Ghost 130. Standing in a Kayak is like standing on the top of a ladder, this gives you the guidance you’re looking for 100%!! Worth every penny!

Factory sealed missing 1 of 4 parts bags needed to complete install.
Was expecting to do some stand up fishing for my week up north that I leave for today... Quality control failure missing a needed bag of parts to mount and complete install.

Stability
Installed on a Old Town Autopilot 136. Made getting in & out a breeze. Also, standing while sight fishing is very stable

According to the manual this is not a Stand Assist Bar!! R u f@*&$%g kidding me?!
Actually quite flimsy, and plastic cotter pins are a joke(i guess its by design) aaaannnnd for a $250 "stand assist bar" the damn manual says in the "Do Not" section ..."Do not use this to assist in standing from a sitting position!".... WTF!?Yakattack dont advertise this as a stand assist bar just call it a mounting post thats all its good for mounting additional gear supports!!Yea gv me my $250 back Ill make one myself!!
