I don’t think it would be possible enough room

The turntable is made from steel so it does have the potential for rust. It is meant to hold a lot of weight (50lbs), so it needs to be made of durable steel. I use this this item professionally, and am very pleased with it. Very minimal care and a periodic light spray of Ballistol (or light oil) with prevent any rust issues you may be concerned about.

Q: My wheel won’t turn freely. How can I loosen it? It’s a year old and has never worked properly.

It is not supposed to spin fast. Mine turns smoothly, without much effort. If yours is stiff, try adding some 3 in one oil or wd40. That is the best I can offer. Good luck
