Just cool
Compact and sturdy.The holder isn't great, but it worksMay want to sand some rough spots down on the handle or just go with it.Solid tool

Ok quality
Handle is poorly finished and poorly set into the blade of the shovel. It will need to be taken apart and sanded and then re-set back into the blade deeper so that it isn’t as loose.

Loose Shovel Head
Like other reviewers, I found that the shovel is not seated well into the handle and is loose. This could be shoddy Soviet era construction, or these were surplused for a reason. Likely the latter. Also has a couple of dust spots as well.So I guess if you want some historically accurate item, this may fit. But the sheath that came with it was NOT the original one in the photos. Just a super cheap and poorly designed Velcro closure bag that inserts the opposite of the original.In all, it’s a cool looking tool that I hope will stand up to some basic gardening tasks. But I’m not sure it will survive the rough use I put my other tools through given it’s cheap and soft metal.
