BABADIO Pet Grooming Electric Nail Grinder with Rechargeable Battery, Gentle Paws Clipper for Dogs, Cats, Hamsters, Rabbits and Birds  I bought this for my dog, she is about 15 lbs. The first time I used it she just laid there. It didn't bother her a bit. She had very sharp nails from where she rips and runs thru the yard and she is still a puppy, just 1 yr old and likes to dig sharpening her nails. It took them nails down and gave them a nice rounded shape. She hated it when I had to clip her nails, it was hard for me to keep her laying there and she kept jerking when I was attempting to clip the nails. I had no problems with the BABADIO Pet Grooming Electric Nail Grinder. I would defiantly recommend it to anyone who takes care of their own pets nails. Get one and start taking care of your own pets nails, it's better than paying someone to clip them for you and that still leaves them jagged. Thank you BABADIO! Dave L.

Have a 20lb mini poodle. It’s quiet, but he hates it and will not hold still long enough to do anything productive.

Unfortunately this nail grinder did not work on my mini dachshund's nails. Maybe the nails are too "thick" for this product, as the description says the product is not powerful enough for thick nails. The grinder will smooth a rough edge but it will not trim down the nails, which is what is needed and probably why most people buy a nail grinder.This product claims to be durable and powerful, but that was not the case. Overall I do not recommend this grinder. It is tough knowing how far to cut with clippers, so I will look for a different grinder.

This is used on a 11-lb Yorkie mixed who is afraid of almost everything. The grinder is fairly quiet so it doesn't bother him. I take the guard off for better control. What I really like about this is that the grinding stone is so fine, even if it slips off the nail and touches my fingers, it does not scratch my skin. I feel comfortable that it does not hurt him if I accidentally touch it on his pad. Pretty sure I have done that several times and have not seen any adverse reaction from him.The downside is that the process itself generates a fair amount of dust.

I have a jack russell terrier, and terriers on the whole have an aversion to their paws being handled. Trimming his nails after a bath was always a battle, because he hated the way the clippers would squeeze on his claws. While the first few times I used this on him he was flinchy, the more I did it the more he realized this was nothing like clippers. He'll mostly lay still while I use this now, and the more I use it the more he realizes this is a lot more comfortable. It is very quiet, so if you have a dog that is noise sensitive they won't be bothered too much by it. It doesn't rotate too fast, so you don't need to death-grip the device to use it. I can change positions easily to use different angles of the grinder. This was a great investment for my dog!

Just got it today. It worked OK on my miniature schnauzer but our pit puppy (8months old) it barely did anything. I was definitely expecting more from this with the great reviews. I could barely tell it did anything at all. We even tried pushing their nails a bit to get any kind of result. It just did not seem powerful enough. Plan on returning them.UPDATE: I had given the product ONE STAR, but almost immediately after my review, the company contacted me apologizing for my dissatisfaction. I was impressed with their kindness, promptness, and willingness to send me another in case the one we received was defective. For their great customer service I added two stars to my review. I feel that this product would be good for smaller pets with softer nails, but for larger dogs, I believe we will need something with more power. Thank you again for your great customer service. It made the experience much more pleasant.

Not being a trained dog nail clipper I decided not to subject our Sheltie to any further squeeze style nail clippers, which pinched her painfully if I got too close to the quick, despite looking for the color change in the nail.Ordered this grinder style and we are now able to keep our dogs nails trimmed pain free and without splitting her nails. Noise does not bother her at all. We did turn it on a couple of times and just laid it near her before we actually used it to trim her nails.Read the directions! It states not to use it for than 5 seconds at a time. Just move nail to nail every few seconds and that is not an issue. We also did not try to trim a large amount the first time, just a little bit every other day or three.

I had really high hopes for this. I was able to get 1, yes 1, use out of this and it no longer works. I have charged it and it still does not work.The shipping was fast and I had no problems with the seller, I would just not recommend the product.
