Great buy!
My old post hole digger had broken and needed this to install a new flag pole. Works beautifully..

DID THE JOB
This did a super job for me. This post hole digger was strong enough to break through the soil without me having to loosen the dirt first. When I reached clay it continued to cut through allowing for a clean hole, I only had one hole to dig so my review is from this perspective. It is a sturdy tool and I believe would last through many a dig.

What a back saver!
I can't believe I went so many years without this. This product is very durable and is a back saver here on the rocky coast of Maine.

Fiberglass handles crack
When I bought this digger in 2015 it looked like a really good sturdy lifetime quality tool. Alas, not to be. The tool has been used perhaps a dozen times in the 5 years and now one handle is cracked at the mounting area. It cannot be used in its current condition. The digger has not been abused and kept clean and indoors when not in use. I expected more. My first digger from my twenties had wooden handles and lasted nearly 40 years. There are wooden handles available but at $25 each one wonders why bother?

Poor design.
Poor design. Day 1 of use, dug 6 holes. Nut came off that secures handle to blades of diggers. While reattaching nut noticed that both handles had cracks in them. Day1! Not acceptable.

Not exactly 6 inches apart
It’s not terrible but a few things we noticed was it’s not exactly 6 inches it’s about 5.5 it was also delivered with a ripped handle and a few scratches but it obviously will still work.

more sturdy than many I have seen
Have used this once. It seems to be heavy duty, more sturdy than many I have seen.
