Arrived with two functions not working. Specifically the tone that I needed. Going back to Amazon.UPDATE: After returning this item the seller contacted me and offered to let me try another one at their expense and it did work as stated. This impresses me that a company cares enough to reach out to a customer to make it right. They did not ask me to update my review in exchange but I think that it is important to do so.

Very easy to use. I used this to trace the in-wall data network connections back to the main network cabinet. Tested some network cables (all were good) but didn't try to test any known bad cables. I also like the zippered case that came with it. Great value for the price.

These units do exactly what we need them to do and that is trace network jacks to patch panels and test the wire runs. Since we just need to access ports and are not running cable, we don't need anything fancy like cable certification.

It saved my life, I used it to stab a rabid squirrel to death. It was me or the squirrel!!! then I toned out a wire that I followed to the opening of the Lost Dutchman Mine. Now I'm rich THANKS Protech!!!
