Works great.
These safety wire twister pliers have been working great for me. They have been very easy to use and nothing but reliable for me. I compared to my A&P's $$$ pair, and I could not discern an obvious quality difference. I'm sure there are benefits of the $$$ sets that are out there for people who use these things daily, but for someone like me who uses them a few times a year, I expect they will hold up for quite a while.

They are made in the USA and are nowhere near as expensive as other brands including the craftsman ones.

Plastic knob, should be metal at this price
Allstar Performance ALL10120 Safety Wire Twister PlierThese safety wire pliers have a tapered tip that is useful for pushing/flattening the cut end of the twisted wires. The locking mechanism is made of metal, as is the shaft that looks like a drill bit. However, the end cap for the knob is made of chromed plastic that seems to be glued to the shaft. I was expecting a metal cap at this price level, so I would recommend going to Harbor Freight or another local hardware store and pick up one of the cheaper tools.Overall: 3/5 stars, it works fine for a shadetree mechanic, but I don't like the plastic knob. It should have been made of metal at this price
