a great display piece with a few issues
its a shame they didnt just do JP93 on his own as a lot of people would have preferred it to the cost of this with the Megatron retool. yes she has a new bot mode head but lets face it everyone is buying this set for the car and as such the price was a bit of a sting.

A polarising crossover
Given that the Dinobots were a massively popular aspect of Generation 1, and Beast Wars introduced the world to transforming prehistoric creatures, it was perhaps inevitable that there would eventually be an official crossover between TransFormers and Jurassic Park... That it would be so blatant and poorly-handled a cash-in was not so inevitable. In package, and on the surface, this set looks phenomenal. Tyrannocon Rex is the Kingdom Megatron mold with a more 'realistic' paint job for its beast mode. JP93 is a reasonable adaptation of the Land Rovers from the movie. The former is well-articulated in both beast and robot mode, but her robot mode looks comparatively plain. The latter transforms into a robot that looks like something you might find in the London Zoo gift shop, or the toy aisle in a pound shop, with the articulation to match.Absolutely not worth anything near the original RRP and, for my money, even at a discount, Tyrannocon is the only worthwhile aspect of the package... so if you're not into beast-formers, this one is an easy miss. If you're a fan of the improved articulation and engineering in the last couple of decades of TransFormers, JP93 will likely be a huge disappointment. Alternatively, Jurassic Park fans might find it to be an interesting novelty, with one fairly simplistic car-based robot, though the transforming Tyrannosaur will likely prove fiddly and frustrating.
