Best setup for the money
Researched quite a bit and found that this setup was the most compatible with the existing LG TV and LG soundbar that I already have. Setting up the Mixer to work with everything else wasn't very straightforward, but I finally landed on the solution that balances audio quality (little to no delay) with aesthetics and ease of switching to and from karaoke to normal TV or streaming.I imagine similar set up can work for other branded TVs and Soundbars, but here are two potential methods for setting up that I settled upon after a fair bit of trial and error:1. (Recommended) a. Google Chromecast -> LG TV (HDMI non-ARC input), b. Mixer (HDMI ARC output) -> LG TV (HDMI ARC input), c. Mixer (Optical out) -> LG Soundbar (Optical in). While there was little to no delay in the mic input and music, this set up meant that I could no longer use my LG WOWCAST, which would otherwise connect by LG TV with LG Soundbar without the need for an HDMI or optical cable. Also, now if the Mixer is off, my normal TV sound output comes out through TV internal speakers; and therefore, if I want to use the Soundbar, the Mixer must be on with TV audio passing through the Mixer to the Soundbar.2. (Not recommended because of an annoying half second delay in audio from the mics): a. Google Chromecast -> Mixer (HDMI input), b. Mixer (HDMI ARC output) -> LG TV (HDMI non-ARC input), c. LG TV (HDMI ARC input) -> LG WOWCAST -> LG Soundbar (wirelessly using WOWCAST). While this meant that I only had one HDMI cable going from the Mixer to the TV, and no audio cables going to the Soundbar, it also had a significant audio delay that I could not seem to resolve via any settings or adjustments to my setup.

Bummer - defective AGAIN
Bought this portable Karaoke mic and mixer for our soundbar TV set up. Had to watch couple of video's online to figure out how to pair and hook it up with our particular set up. Finally figured it out but only 1 mic worked. Contacted the Amazon tech support. Ran through all the suggest steps in a live chat. In the end they agreed to send out a whole new karaoke system provided that we return the defective system. So we agreed. The new Karaoke mic and mixer came in 2 days. We hooked it up and it worked great.....for about 2 month :( In total we have used the set 4 times for about 1 -2 hours each time. Then last week the same thing happened with the first set, only 1 mic would pair we tried everything. Now both mics wont pair. Truly disappointed. Now I cannot return it because its past the return date.

Works well, but not on Soundbar
We hooked these up and tried to get it working on a soundbar with an Apple TV using HDMI Arc and had significant delays from the mixer. However, switching to a true audio mixer these worked well enough. Wouldn’t recommend for anyone trying to get it setup for a soundbar. Also the mics notoriously cut on and off

Perfect solution for HDMI karaoke!
I came across this after hours of searching for an HDMI mixer with mic input (to no avail). My setup is simple and I didn’t want to change it:AppleTV to Soundbar to Projector via HDMII bought and inserted this mixer into things and everything worked flawlessly:AppleTV to This Mixer to Soundbar to Projector via HDMII expected to have to do some tweaks to audio delay, but nothing required. Truly plug and play. The mixer is not amazing but does its job - receiving wireless signal from mics and giving volume control of each mic, in addition to echo / reverb (a little always helps in karaoke) and tone (turn left for more bass, less treble/right for more treble, less bass). The mics are better quality than I expected. They’re not Shure, of course. But I’ve been to friends’ houses with karaoke machines with awful mics and these mics are closer to Shure quality than cheap karaoke system mics. These mics have a sturdy feel and decent sound. All in all, great solution to add karaoke to an existing tv and sound system!Note: I noticed low ratings seem to all complain about Bluetooth. Perhaps a consideration for some.Note 2: I will update this post if my positive experience changes.Note 3: for karaoke songs, I use Karafun (played on iPad and mirrored to alert AppleTV). High quality songs, consistent UI, and ability to control key and volume of lead and backup vocals. Highly recommend. In the rare instance they don’t have what I’m looking for, I search for the song name + karaoke on YouTube and that always works (but no key or volume control of vocals).
