StarrettC11H-12-4R Combination Square with Square Head, 12"

The first Starrett 12" square arrived in sealed packaging with four fingerprints corroded into the blade and the blade was difficult to slide in the cast iron head to the point where I thought the square might be a second or counterfeit. Contacted Starrett customer support but there was no answer after a week - still waiting. Fortunately Amazon customer service is much superior and the defective square was replaced within days. The replacement square has a single fingerprint corroded into the blade but the blade slides easily and I was able to verify that the square is exactly 90 degrees. Decided to keep it; the fingerprint will be an eternal reminder of the diminished state of Starrett quality control and customer care.Update: After two weeks, Starretts sent a new blade to me by courier. No fingerprints this time.

Got this to replace my old combo square only real complaints are that the square has oil and finger prints in beaded in it but fixed that and the other is that it doesn’t come with a storage box. Otherwise it’s super easy to read and use and I’m happy that I bought it

Compré este producto porque "Starrett" era signo de calidad. La escuadra venía desmadrada y por casi 2 milímetros. Me da la impresión que era un artículo defectuoso que ya alguien había regresado anteriormente. Cuando lo recibí estaba lleno de huellas, grasa, polvo y estaba todo raspado.

A very plain, but very accurate combination square. It looks no different from some of the cheap ones, except every time you move the head it is still square every time. I am very happy with this tool.
