I decided it was time to demolish the long and narrow shower in our master bathroom. Tearing down the walls was simple; however, I needed a different approach for the cement and membrane shower pan. I decided to order the  Craftsman CMXPTSG1010NB air hammer , made in China, and the 7” version narrow chisel from the Craftsman CMXZTSG1056NB 5-pc air chisel set.The Craftsman CMXZTSG1056NB 5-pc air chisel set, made in China, includes five standard 0.401-in shanks. Each shank has a different tip meant for specific uses. Both the narrow chisel and pencil point can be used for breaking concrete. The sheet metal trimmer bit is used for smooth edge panel cutting and ripping. The single edge panel cutter bit is commonly used by automotive and autobody technicians. The vee chisel/spot weld breaker is used for cutting weld spots, molding, bolts, and rivets.Based on my typical projects, I could get by with two of these bits, with the remaining taking up space in my toolbox. I would save some money and storage space by purchasing the  Generic Brands 3-pc set  instead. Even though the Craftsman CMXZTSG1056NB 5-pc air chisel set is a good basic tool-set, consider if all these tips will be useful for your needs.► PROS:Long-life hardened alloy steel► CONS:Likely more chisels than a person needs

I really can't find any reason to complain about this set other than it's a little more expensive that comparable sets on the market and the set was a little grimy or greasy in the pack. Not a huge deal, especially since I am using it with my Craftsman air hammer outdoors. They are fairly comparable to what you'd get from Central Pneumatic in the 4 and 7 inch sets, but not quite as expensive as Kobalts. Similar quality to both brands, though.So far, great and nothing has broken or chipped. I have the 400 lb air hammer, as well as the 750 lb and have used these in both without incident. They work with other brands, too, such as central pneumatic, but I really feel like I get more out of them with their partner hammer. It seems like the work better due to the hammers power. They're 401 hardened steel, although they're an alloy. They're also in the middle at 6 inches, which works for a variety of projects.Five solid and varied chisel tips at just $19 is really a great price for Craftsman quality. I'm happy with them. I'll be using them more this spring and will update if I have any break or chip.

Really wish they weren't still made in China. If craftsman wants to lift their brand name back up they need to stop with the Chinese steel. But for the price they work well. I almost dinged a star because I unboxed them and was left with filthy hands. Hubby just laughed and laughed.For the actual set itself, he has had no issues and for the price he says they are a good value. I was annoyed they were filthy and didn't come with any type of storage, but since he just keeps all his tools in storage chests he said that wasn't really an issue so I will defer to him on that.

I find this Craftsman 5-piece chisel set to be the kind of package that get you 'from zero to sixty' in a tool category where you've got little or nothing to start with. Others may find it a suitable way of replenishing chisels that need to be retired or even filling in holes in your chisel armory.These hardened alloy steel chisels are well made and cover a wide array of needs by way of their very diverse shapes on the business end of the tool.With this inexpensive set the often beleaguered Craftsman brand shows it can still bring it.
