I really liked this product. It is not as strong as I thought the slats would be, but we are enjoying it.

Well I've had these placed in front of my home for the past 5 years now. Other than the occasional re-staining of the wood and resin back piece due to the harsh seasons here in New England, I love these very much. In fact renewing the wood gives me something to do in retired life. I also use these quite a bit during the warmer months, from relaxing with a morning cup of coffee, taking a break from landscaping or having a glass of wine and watching the sun set over the bay. I weigh roughly 250lbs and these support me without worry. I've gotten quite a few compliments over the years and they give the area a warm old fashion welcoming feeling. I am considering purchasing two more. I highly recommend these beautiful bench seats to brighten any décor/landscape. Thank you for this great product. The pics look great but once you see it up close you remember this comes from China. In some spots where the wood is imperfect because of knots, they filled them with wood putty. They really could of charged more and gotten better planks of wood.It was easy enough to put together with pliers, a screw driver and some common sense.I really wonder how long this will last outdoors and how soon all of the hardware will rust.Purchased it because we liked the design of the metal and I guess in a few years I can replace any bad pieces with solid oak.Saw benches at out local home goods store but liked this design better.Shipping time was accurate and was not damaged in transit.

This was my wife's choice but I got to assemble it. It was easy to put together and there were extra screws and washers included which I appreciated. It looks great in our backyard and it is comfortable to sit in. My wife is satisfied so all's right with the world. I prefer to have the cast iron components to be made of cast aluminum because I've experienced rusting of cast iron in spite of claims of resistant coatings in the past, perhaps it may take longer in this case but rust is an unavoidable outcome as time goes by. That is why I gave it only 4 stars. Cast aluminum is always more expensive and I most likely have paid the up charge but it wasn't available.

I was pleasantly surprised at how attractive my new park bench looked when it was finally assembled and positioned in my front yard. And it is comfortable as well as attractive. To sum up, it was a good choice and a great value!

Once this bench was delivered, I opened the box to begin the assembly process by inspecting all of the parts and reading the instructions. I noticed immediately that the back was flimsy and flexed quite a bit. I then noticed that every seat plank was thin and warped in varying degrees. The cast iron frame appeared much more thin and delicate than what the photos would indicate. I proceeded with assembly thinking that it would become more sturdy once complete. This was not the case. Once assembled, I checked for sturdiness by grabbing both bench arms and gave it a little side-to-side shake. To my surprise, one of the front legs actually broke off. After that, I disassembled it, boxed it back up and shipped it back. Bottom line: This bench is very cheaply made. I would NOT recommend.

Easy to assemble, and looks great along with the other back yard decorations that we purchased through Amazon. It's not only decorative, but it's useable too. Really looks good in the yard.

For the price of $86 this is much less then I expected. The back is plastic, not metal at is looks (granted this is mentioned in the product description). The wood slats are thin for the size of the bench. The wood is barely treated. It does look nice but I'm not optimistic it will hold up to any weather or use after a year.
